Kettering have a county cup game on Tuesday 10th April. Will they field a reserve side for that game and bring their first team to us? Otherwise they probably will be coming on a Thursday.

Will this close season be the one where the much promised major refurbishment of the pitch takes place?  The annual few shovels of sand and a couple of handfuls of grass seed not cutting the mustard at the moment?  :dontknow:
"If a window was broken or a drain was blocked up, someone was certain to say that Grissles had come in the night and done it, and when the key of the store-shed was lost, the whole farm was convinced that Grissles had thrown it down the well. Curiously enough, they went on believing this even after

:banghead; in all fairness Griss, there would not be many football pitches at non league level that would cope with the amount of rain we have had in  West Norfolk over the past week. I agree that work needs doing on the pitch, yes it's been promised, but this work that needs doing will cost a lot of pennies if done correctly.  :farmer:

If more effort was put into fundraising it would make life easier?  :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Stephen Cleeve Retweeted Powlie

Itís a disaster financially for the club - letís just hope the town turns out to support the club when the game is rearranged

If that tweet is correct and not scaremongering, its a concern, when the owner comes out and says, "its a disaster financially", it does not bode well for the future. With the trust sitting on over £50,000 perhaps its time the owner offered some form of olive branch? Or even vice versa, if the trust think its time to help.

The trust have been ready to help for the last 9 years.  Problem is the chairman thinks helping, is just handing shedloads of money over, with no questions asked. Here today gone tomorrow.  :countingmoney:

Shame, 600 for a Kettering game won't swell the bank balance? :bankrupt:
