Match preview v Slough
« on: April 13, 2018, 07:08:12 PM »
Kettering's 100th league goal of the season on Thursday evening ensured that they kept the "title" of highest scorers in the division in terms of goals per game.

On Saturday Lynn travel to Slough Town who, with and average of 2.46 goals a game, are second in that table with Banbury United being the only club that have managed to keep a clean sheet against them at Arbour Park, the Rebels last home defeat.

Since then Slough they have won five games, four of them away and need one more win to be assured of a play-off place. Victory on Saturday would put them on 89 points and in range of catching Lynn should they win their two games in hand.

Lynn won 1-0 when The Rebels visited The Walks last month. On that occasion Slough were without leading scorer Chris Flood whose wife was about to give birth.Injury and the arrival of his son kept Flood out of the team for a while but he celebrated his return last Saturday with a hat trick against Biggleswade Town bringing his total to 23 goals this season.

Lynn's two previous visits to Arbour Park have ended in 2-0 defeats.
