King’s Lynn Town football club are pleased to announce that Championship side Norwich City will be visiting The Walks on Friday July 6th for a prestigious pre season friendly ( Kick – off 7:30pm). The fixture is amongst a set  of pre season games announced by the Canaries today  and forms part of manager Daniel Farke’s warm up games ahead of the Carrow Road sides build up to the new championship season.

Speaking after the announcement Stephen Cleeve said ‘ Firstly I would like to place on record my sincere thanks to everyone at Norwich City Football Club for their assistance and help in arranging this fixture. I feel it’s not only a honour for the football club but the people of West Norfolk as well  that a club of Norwich City’s statue will be sending over their first team squad to play at The Walks. I am already looking forward immensely to the evening and am very excited at the prospect of our supporters being able to watch our side up against the might of a championship team in what will be our new manager Simon Clark’s first match in charge. What with this and our international pre season tournament which the Canaries Under 23 team are involved in we have some top class football to look forward to’.

Adults/Concessions  - £10:00

That’s great for the Club and dare I say it, long over due. Having had Friendlies at Lowestoft, Dereham, Gorleston the past few years its great that we get our turn.

Norwich must have great faith in the Lynn pitch for next season as they only seem to go to Clubs with a really decent playing surface.

Let’s hope this gives Lynn a 20k plus start to the season.

Great News - However, will we have a team? Recent rumours say that Pedro may have left us, Will Michael Gash be there?

At this rate Ryan Fryatt and Simon Lappin will have their work cut out.

Lappin has gone. :dontknow:
"If a window was broken or a drain was blocked up, someone was certain to say that Grissles had come in the night and done it, and when the key of the store-shed was lost, the whole farm was convinced that Grissles had thrown it down the well. Curiously enough, they went on believing this even after

Tremendous coup from the chairman take a bow son :worship: as others will say and thinking, lets hope we have a good enough team/squad at that moment to honour such a prestige freindly :scarf:

And the good news is the price has been dropped, hats off to Mr Cleeve for that, hope it pulls in a bumper crowd.  :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Don’t think it would be unrealistic to expect a crowd of at least 2000?

Easy now, people are going to think your computers been hacked or something?  :laughcry:

You'd expect it to pull a crowd on a friday night really, lets just hope by then he has it a little more organised than what the play off games were, nearly passed out after the burger bar ran out of food by half time!
For big games like this Need a little bar set up over the far corner where im sure there used to be a burger bar in the corner to the right as you look from the main stand?

I wonder if this Friendly was a organised well in advance while Culverhouse was still in situ? Maybe Jarvo saw it through. Nice parting gift from IC.

Will this be the first of other high profile visitors to The Walks?  With Sam G at P’Boro and Simon Clark recently involved at both Charlton and lately at Notts Co we could see some high quality opposition grace The Walks.

Now all we need is a decent squad to welcome them.
