It certainly was an excellent win. I noticed that although he apparently played well on saturday that last night Jack Frohawk was not even on the bench. Was this due to injury or unavailability I wonder?

Match Report.   Saturday 30th January 2016
Kick off: 3PM                              Eastern Counties League                        Manager: Robbie Back
Linnets Line up: Luke Pearson, Matty Bussens, Tom McLeish, Simon Bird, James Spittehouse. (C), Kevin White, Danny Setchell, Eoin Mcquaid, Karl Tansley, Jack Frohawk, Alex Clunan
Subs: Kieran Stannard, Jacob White, Robert Palmer, Nathan Daw
Away Line up: Jack Spurling, Lewis Ball, Ashley Canham, Kevin Ingos, Sam Whattlemore, Scott Majoram, Stuart Boardley, Toby kerslake, Aaron Thorlow, Camilo Douglas, Jack Baker
Subs: William Okbrow, Zehnn Young, Tom mansfield, Josh Cheltham,Arben Karsarti

3PM the game kicks off with the Linnets playing from right to left and Leiston left to right.
5 minutes on the clock home keeper Luke Pearson showed outstanding sportsmanship when he cleared the ball out of play due to an injury to Leiston reserves player.
Just 4 minutes later midfielder Eion Mcquaid had made an advancing run darting through the opposing defence and he whipped in an very inviting cross but couldn't be finished off my Karl Tansley who fouled to connect with the ball inside 8 yards.
The Deadlock was broken with just under a quarter of an hour played. It came about following great build up play by the home side and a defence splitting pass reaching the number nine who finished calmly passed the Leiston keeper
25 minutes played Leiston were gifted their first real chance of the game following a miss judged header by Linnets skipper James Spittehouse and the quick Leiston forward was denied following great determination off the lines of the home keeper Pearson who cleared ball for a throw in.
With 15 minutes scheduled to go before the break Alex Clunan almost caught out keeper who couldn't clear his lines in time and ball deflected out for goal kick which could've easily have ended up rooted in the back of the net.
A few passes later Lynn were in on once again with a glorious chance to double their lead as there was quite a bit of a goal mouth scramble as they say as Leiston couldn't clear their lines fully and Kings Lynn just couldn't fins the back of the net with chances falling to the likes of Alex Clunan, Jack Frohawk and Karl Tansley but within those few moments the crossbar was smashed and post almost shattered twice. But eventually the away keeper came to rescue with a superb save.
First sub of the game was made on the 35 minute mark seeing Leiston's William Osborn hoping to make his mark upon the game being predominately dominated by the Home team.
Fans and players of Kings Lynn were left outraged and in some cases furious at the referees decision not to give a penalty which seemed to be inside the area and a pure foul by the opposing Leiston defender.

3 minutes following the restart Leiston had found themselves level after some good passing lead to the ball being slotted home past Pearson in between the sticks.
It didn't stay level for too long and Kings Lynn had regained the lead
This time through Jack Frohawk who fired home to make it Lynn 2 Leiston 1.

On the 63rd minute Alex Clunan was awarded a yellow card.
10 minutes following this Jack Frohwak had made a great run before teeing up Eoin Mcquaid who poke the ball home form 6 yards following the keeper got finger tips from the pass by Frohawk. Score now 3-1 Linnets.
Moments later sub Kieran Stannard tried his luck from distance but saw his speculative effort go just over the bar.
Lynn were denied a fourth goal as it was ruled out for offside deep into stoppage time.

The attendance at the walks stadium was announced as 116 and man of the match was awarded to a fully deserved Jack Frohawk who played fantastically throughout and got a goal and an assist to his name whilst on the pitch.
Following the game I had the pleasure of interview King Lynn reserves manager Robbie Back who went on to state the following." I was very pleased with our overall performance and thought everyone put in an excellent showing. The second half was much better for us and this was shown following some slight criticism at half time form me and fellow coaches. I feel we had a very strong penalty shout around the 40 minute mark and if it was outside of the 18 yard area it could've been given as a foul. Finally it was amazing and we'll achieved for the three points against tough opposition and on next for us as a team and I'm feeling as we've got a lot of games coming up in the coming weeks and following a midweek game some players deserve a break and that'll open th opportunity for some younger players with in th tea to make the step up".
