Good day all round.

Security with a 99 year lease, good signing in Chris Henderson & 3 points. Thatíll do me.

Great day! Ex Strikers always make the best Managers!

Paul. "Security with a 99 year lease". How's that work?

Better than having a 20yr one surely???

Iím not an expert but Iím sure Iíve read somewhere the chairman wanted a longer lease to help with things like ground improvements and potential grants etc from places like the football foundation?

Also bumps the value of the club up for potential buyers?  :dontknow:
What really falls me is that people are so clever hiding behind a name and continually calling people out for their opinions! I like real people who can discuss things face to face, please make it a prerequisite that if you join the forum your actual name is visible. Cue posters leaving!!!!!!!!!!!!

B&G see my updated comment.

Iím not an expert, maybe you can enlighten me where Iím wrong?

You said security due to a 99 year lease. Your update no longer mentions this security. Just wondered why you thought a 99 year lease brings security.

Itís just my opinion that its bring security. If you can point out where Iím wrong then please do.

I apologise for tying to be positive.

No idea why you feel the need to apologise for being positive.

I havent said you were wrong. You were the one that mentioned security and I was just wondered why you thought it brings security?

If you are now saying that bringing security is just an opinion, thanks for answering.

It was an opinion based on previous comments from the chairman that a longer lease will help the club when things like ground improvements are needed, and trying to get grants from places like football foundation.

B&G Iím reading your comments that you donít think it does bring security? Whyís that?

I answered your question, maybe you can answer mine?

How can I answer something I haven't said?

Ok, a straight forward question.

Is having a 99 year lease rather than a 20 year or whatever it was previously good news? If not why not?

In commercial property terms landlords would be thrilled to get a 20 year lease in this day and age.  All kinds of ponderables to consider Paul. Full repairing lease ? Rent review periods.

A straight forward answer. I have no idea!

All I asked was a question in relation to your comment about the 99 year lease bringing security, and why you think it does. You have now explained that this is just an opinion, which I thank you for.

a 99 year lease is better if you want to sell the club.  :countingmoney:
