@derehamtown are delighted to announce that, following the mutually agreed cancellation of his contract with Kings Lynn Town, defender Matt Castellan has signed Bostik League forms for the Magpies.

Good luck wherever you go Matt Castellan. Thank you for your service.

It was such a blow to the player and the Club when Matty got that head injury. Unfortunately his game has suffered through such a long period out of the game. He looked destined for great things before the injury.

Good luck to the lad hope he smashes it at Dereham.

Bit of budget now for a midfielder ?

Wondering if a back up forward might be more the ticket.
Midfield: Jarvis, Clunan, Henderson,Parker and potentially Jones when he returns. It is hoped that Limb will return from Pinchbeck full of confidence, but other than Limb and Hawkins, no back up if Gash or Marriott were out for a few games.

If budget is there to get a player in, surely it needs to be someone that can play wide? Lynn are too predictable at times when the midfielders all want the ball to their feet/strikers remaining through the middle and the only width is from the full backs which can be halted. Hawkins is sometimes great when coming on and offering that pace outwide, but need someone with bit more quality that can start and play wide if needed (preferably on the right) who will run at the LB, stretch the play and hit the byline.

Gives the option of going 4-4-2 in games with FBT offering overlap if Henderson starts on left and drifts inside, then allows on other side hopefully a double overload with the winger and full back. You're not going to replace the quality of Norman, so really need two people outwide to do what he did IMO.

As much as we would miss him through the middle, why not Henderson? could adapt and certainly not let us down :dontknow:

Probably the right decision for all involved.  When I first saw him early in his Lynn career he looked as good a prospect as I have seen but unfortunately hasn't really come on as hoped
which is understandable given the injury and subsequent time out of the game.  Wish him all the best back at Dereham who look like they have missed him this season.
