Will the pitch be fit to play on tomorrow?
I would have gone.

Lot of rain or just a precaution to protect the pitch for the forthcoming run of 1st team home games ?

There seems to be some confusion this one.  Downham Town are saying they were told specifically the pitch is both frozen and waterlogged.

I think the guy Steve Curtis works miracles to get as many games as he does on that pitch.
Plus I think we have to consider the commercial side of the business.  2 home games in 4 days give a big cash injection into the club.  Ian Culverhouse demand a decent home surface for his team so no point in having it torn up on a Friday by a Reserve team game, gives very little recovery time before Tuesday.

What should we do to address the problem? Maybe get the reserves playing at Lynnsport and just keep the pitch for first team games? Problem with that is we would be paying to use a pitch while losing income? :dontknow:

King's Lynn need to find the reserves a new venue to play at if come Nov-Feb every home game for reserves will be postponed because 1st team have a game there a few days after. Makes the club look amateurish and disrespects the other clubs in Thurlow Nunn.

They're never going to go any higher, and it's structured towards being largely a youth side that gets culled every couple years if there's not many ready to step up to 1st team, so should just move their 'home' elsewhere IMO. Just comes down to finding a venue that meets the ground grading for that level.
