Pitch/ bad weather
« on: January 30, 2019, 10:55:35 PM »
Was it not about this time last season IC  copped the hump about the pitch not being able to be worked on after a game due to inclement weather ?

I think that if it wasn't for the stirling work of our groundsman the match possibly wouldn't have gone ahead last night? If we have a presentation evening at the end of the season I hope there is a presentation for him,he seems to be working miracles at the moment? :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

I agree wholeheartedly Gris , the pitch has been looking much better, getting it playable for Saturday will be a great effort.
However ...... Compare last seasons home form to this, we were virtually unbeatable and winning games on what was supposed to be a dreadful playing surface, I appreciate we had King, Norman, Lappin then but in what on paper was a much stronger League.

He got the hump because nobody had attempted to work on the pitch and it was in exactly the same condition as when they left the pitch the previous game.

Will there be a pitch inspection today? We all know that some of the pitch near the main stand does not thaw quickly. Alvechurch also have a tricky journey.

Just seen pics on FB of what Steve has achieved with the pitch. Wow, what a transformation, if I was wearing a hat I'd take it off to your sir.

 :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :scarf:
