Baah. Ian Long will probably be the replacement manager at Tamworth (allegedly in the frame) before the re arranged fixture goes ahead.

Certainly stoked the fire with that interview, can now imagine the troubles our staff had with them on sat during the postponement, lets all get behind the boys on the return and make him eat his words!!

Whilst Long's actions didn't endear him to many, I think there was an element of sympathy from IC in his interviews with the position KLTFC had put Alvechurch in on Saturday.  Will be interesting to see what sort of response their 'letter to the league' receives.  Hopefully the rearranged fixture will be a way off and tempers will have cooled and the temperature will have warmed by then.

Lets get it played in the next couple of weeks while the fires are still burning. Could do with a feisty encounter, something that has been missing for a while #COYL

Iíve been on both sides of the situation when travelling/arriving at a ground only for the game to be called off, as a home fan arriving at The Walks and an away fan arriving somewhere else. I had sympathy for Alvechurch which was sadly lost when Long started throwing his weight around and swearing/trying to fight people and encouraging his players to do the same.

As a club we got it wrong, our Chairman has admitted that. But that doesnít give anyone the right to start abusing and disrespecting our club officials and volunteers on the day.

Good post Robbo.   Ok the Chairman got it badly wrong and Iím sure he will looking to recompense Alvehurch in some way for what was after all an enthusiast mistake.

However as you point out for Alvechurch to resort to aggressive behaviour is totally unacceptable.  Itís a Sport, a game of Football.  Managers and representatives of a club should have the self control to deal with such situations.

Once Mr Cleeve has sent them a cheque for travelling expenses I hope Alvechurch and their Manager will have the good Grace to offer a formal apology.  Really there is no need for any of it.
