Was it over an amount of about £8000 that was owed? A small amount in comparison to the debt some clubs carry? :dontknow:

Such a small amount in real terms and I'm sure donations from the supporters could have covered that, but perhaps there wasn't the stomach for it. We know how hard it is to lose our Football Club, but did we honestly think non league football would be lost in Kings Lynn.
So a break and possibly a fresh start. North Ferriby Town has a nice ring to it - and its not as if they would be treading on virgin territory and the fans will disappear.
Always a sad day to hear a club folding, but hopefully it will be  :welcome: to a new start

Apparently the debt is much larger but this case was just one of those owed.

Assem Allam (current Hull City) owned North Ferriby and had big ambitions for the Club.  North Ferriby is not a very big place but is a very affluent area. All the plans the owner had for the club were blocked, as the locals didnít really want it in their village. So he walked away.

I guess the Club was left of a situation that was beyond thier resources.  Always a risk
When a single person comes in and has big ideas, then walks away.  Trouble is people never seem to learn.
