The Spennymoor away fixture in Sept might be postponed as they are having a lot of work done at the ground including a new pitch.

I think League rules state that any game postponed has to be played within 6 weeks of the original date.  This could mean a nice trip up there on a Tuesday night.  Madness

If that's the case, should be possible to swap the 2 fixtures around so we play them at home on a Sat in September and away on a Sat later in year.

Made even easier to switch games now as we have no reserve team to think about, so only have to switch one game not two? I'm sure if both chairmen met then some agreement could be reached between the clubs, after all both will lose money on a Tuesday night game? If they put it to the fathen I sure it could be sorted?  :scarf:

I don’t think the option of a fixture swap is part of the League rules.  However to be played within 6 weeks of the original date is.

Will common sense prevail ?

Other possible option may be to borrow a nearby step 2 ground, if one is available.

It's my understanding that Spennymoor have asked the league to have their first four matches away from home to complete their work etc. If that is the case then as it stands our trip there in September should be ok at the moment.

That’s good news Mark.  Though I understand they have fallen behind the clock in terms of the pitch.

I am sure your knowledge is far greater than mine Mark but I thought they had asked for their first 4 home games to be changed to away games.

Bit tricky that , would we not like our last 4 games to be at home ?

Looking at the fixtures if we can get 9/10 points in August it would be a solid start, anything more would be good anything less then a long season awaits, tough league is this and keeping out of bottom four would be a good season.I  for one will coming more and a lot of people I have spoke to who have not been much lately are saying the same, some good stuff coming from the walks all-round well done to every one connected to the Walks
