Darlington

Another excellent result at Farsley.  Now for Darlington on Saturday.  Please have a word with all pals, relations, boyfriends, girlfriends, .etc., to come to the game..  we must be sending shockwaves to the league with this amazing start, but now is surely the time to shock many of our opponent clubs with a demo of the sort of crowd we can pull.  After all - all these games should now be as big a pull as the Slough game was.....

Darlo Manager is Ex Ipswich striker Alun Armstrong coming to do battle with ex Norwich legend Ian Culverhouse.  Nice angle there for the Norfolk public to get behind their man

Nothing else happening anywhere else around town either,so hopefully nice weather and the quality of football being served up at the moment will attract a large crowd? :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

A thousand ?  We should be half-way to doubling that by now....  We have a healthy increase on last year, but are capable of many National League top division gates.  Steven Cleeve serves to see it, and the team deserve to hear it !......

Darlington appear to have signed a whole new team for this season and they may just about have started to gel.

It has the makings of an interesting game.

Prediction:  Home Win 3-1 and 900+

I'm making the pilgrimage home from the West Midlands for this game.  This will be my first game of the season and looking forward to it.
Score 3-1, gate 1205

If Jones can keep Stephen Thompson quiet then 2-0 to Lynn. I think the club will be extremely disappointed with less than 1000. Let's hope Gloucester can do us a favour :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Can anyone name a player who has played for Lynn and Darlington? I think I know of one from slightly before my time maybe v early 80s.

I know that Tommy Taylor managed both Lynn & Darlington. Not sure about player(s).

Good answers. I recall a nice free kick from Dale Anderson that he bent into the top corner. Not sure he did much else in a Lynn shirt though. The player I was thinking of was Les McJanet. Anyone remember him and whether he played for both teams?
