Rory McAuley's RED Card
« on: September 05, 2019, 03:15:14 PM »
A lot of speculation going on about the "rights" and "wrongs" of Rory's straight Red Card against Alfreton on Tuesday evening.

From my position in the Stands looking at the incident from behind I initially thought they were closer together and Rory had caught him with his elbow. The video clearly shows there was space between them and Rory was much further in front. As such there was no physical threat and Rory was getting away from No10. Why would Rory flail an arm back to intentionally hit him - purely accidental.

The BIG Question  :dontknow: Are King's Lynn lodging/have lodged an Appeal  :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:

Not a red card for me, was shocked when saw it was given. However I cannot see it being overturned.

If they (FA) use the same logic as they do for VAR, then it wont get overturned.

Think he will be available for tomorrow... paperwork likely to come thru from FA next week with suspension (pending appeal) starting with Gloucester match

King's Lynn Town FC
@officialKLtown

Following lengthy consultation we have decided not to appeal Rory McAuley's red card from last week. Therefore a 3 match suspension will begin this weekend.

That was clearly no foul the number 10 got him booked with a theatrical dive and shout

When I look back at the match highlights of the season so far, the Alfreton one stands out in terms of how Alfreton played......their number 9, Clarke spends most of the highlights illegally blocking and holding off players, well away from the ball and the officials do nothing.
Its very unfortunate timing to have to meet them so soon in the FA Cup......I just hope we can avoid any further injuries or sendings off in the game......we need some strong officials
