GATESHEAD.
« on: November 26, 2019, 10:14:12 PM »
So the excitement of the trophy over for the moment, time to get back t the bread and butter of the season, entertaining Gateshead at home on Saturday. Norwich not playing until Sunday, lets all get down and get behind the boys,we need lots of noise, lets retain that number one spot. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Gateshead look a tough prospect. They don't concede or lose many away from home. I think it will be tight. A draw or Lynn to win by the odd goal.

Think this could be a tight one.  Mind Marriot must be due one or two.

Will IC shuffle the pack a little bit for Saturday.  After last Saturday Jarv should come back in.  Thought he was a class above on the day.

Can anyone confirm that Lynn’s all-time record goalscorer, Malcolm Lindsay, joined the club from Gateshead, along with Dave Brooks? If that’s the case, and Malcolm is still in the area, perhaps he could be invited as guest of honour at Saturday’s game. Great servant and prolific goalscorer in the 60s.

Can see Mazza getting a couple this weekend. Don't want him getting too many as there might be scouts watching again.

How's the pitch holding up  ?
Will there need to be an inspection tomorrow morning or is it
looking good enough ?

I think there's more of a problem with drainage all over the town ( not caused just by the rain ). Games on River Lane are off again, they say it's down to the sluice in the Walks not being opened thus not allowing the rivers thro gaywood to lower thus not allowing the pitches to drain, I presume water from our pitch drains into same system but can't go anywhere and backs up.
There are 3 types of people in this world, those that can count, and those that can't

Thanks B M for that insight.....presumably comes under the jurisdiction of the Environment Agency (?)

I see that Mark Hearle has tweeted in the last hour to say he is looking forward to tomorrow's match....no mention of an inspection, so I infer from that, that the pitch should be ok.

:oldman" just home and clicked on the internet to read the report, have to say, I have just read the Gateshead report via the link on the live feed, good balanced report and up loaded very quickly (putting KLTFC to shame) only thing I disagreed with was there attendance figure which was given in the 300s, not 1060. All in all credit to Gateshead they made it difficult, but KLTFC showed there class in the end to snatch those 3 points and keep us top of the league. :farmer:
