BOSTON AWAY.
« on: December 30, 2019, 09:38:48 AM »
Big game for the new year,Boston will be hell bent on revenge, giving no quarter in their quest to beat us. We will need as much support as possible to roar the boys on,shame we can't equal what we took to St Neots in our first season, that would mean the top attendance in the league again. So if you have a spare seat,or need a seat don't be afraid to post it,its not far so fill your car. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Some information courtesy of Paul Jesus Flanagan from Facebook:

Linnets supporters attending the game at Boston United on Wednesday will be housed in the York Street stand and will enter the stadium via turnstiles 3, 3A and 4.

The Benton Brothers York Street Stand is situated to the east of the pitch. The right-hand side of this stand is reserved for away supporters, who are accommodated by flat terracing as well as the benches above. Entry for this section is through turnstiles 3, 3A and 4. Home supporters access the stand through turnstiles 5 and 6. It is an unusual stand with both terracing near the pitch and seating above and behind. Its capacity is 1,435 with 503 seated.

The ground's car park is for permit holders only. Public parking is on the surrounding roads or at an NCP car park off John Adams Way. (Another Post says this NCP Car Park has now been built on so is no longer there???)

Boston is the nearest railway station to the ground; it is less than 1 mile (1.6 km) away and sign posted throughout the town.
Road travel to the ground from outside the area is by the A1 and the A17 (and A16) Sleaford to Boston road. From the town access to York Street is along John Adams Way and Main Ridge.

Post Code for SatNav is  PE21 6JN.

For older hipsters, itís right next door to the famous Gliderdrome Dancehall and concert venue.  A few memories for Lynn AND Boston revellers of yesteryear !

Hopeful of a win against Boston today, but given their home record this season, I think a draw would be a reasonable achievement.

As we go into the second half of the season, the interesting thing is that it is aside from Chester and Boston, weíre pretty much playing the top half of the table at home, and the bottom half away. Bodes well.

I'm going for 1-3.Marriott and Gash. I think there is live coverage on Boston Endeavour radio.
