Another excellent performance.  Our front eleven are currently proving to be too good for everyone.  BUT - Any news on Adam Marriott ?  A very important question, Iím sure we would all agree.....

Rumours, and I stress Rumours, that a League Two Scout was at the game yesterday.

If true, who were they watching  :dontknow:

Again Rumour Control posted on LiveFeed that Leyton Orient (League Two) was where Adam Marriott was going  :dontknow:

Unsettling for the Players and Club and Fans with all this speculation.

Orient 19th in League 2. If Marriott stays good chance of playing Orient next year anyway.

Leyton Orient are definitely in need of a striker. When promoted to League 2 last season they sold their 2 strikers (Bonne & Koroma) to Charlton & Huddersfield respectively. They replaced them with Conor Wilkinson from Dagenham & Redbridge (who has turned out to be a bit of a sicknote) and Lee Angol from Shrewsbury who is allegedly being tracked by another club.

Sounds like they made some poor decisions and as a result could be back down again. Whoever they recruit, it wont  be easy for the striker going there, to a struggling side ,desperate for an instant impact from the new man.

Uh oh.. obviously people are going to be chasing him, if we do end up selling. We need to make it worthwhile. As many have said might not get this chance of being promoted to the national League again!

Tricky one for Adam if it is true - Graham Westley back in charge of Stevenage and he was the manager who signed Adam last time he was there.  They are only 2nd bottom on goal difference and five points adrift of third bottom so you might assume it is a two horse race to go down to potentially the same league as we could be in next year but lots of football to be played between now and then, this would guarantee Adam a full-time contract and at 28 would he really be in a position to turn it down?  That said he has seen to good and bad side of moving clubs so if he is getting 'enough' at Lynn and enjoying his football would he want to risk all that again?

Think itís two teams that go down these days Tony.

Adam has said in the past that he would like to get back into the pro game.  I guess with so many clubs, seemingly interested in him then it might well turn into a Dutch Auction for his services.
Should be a real money spinner for the Club.

No one would deny Adam the chance of going to a league club what a player , I try to switch off from all these rumours , we had it earlier in the season when seen to be at Rotherham ( but was watching lynn play at the same time )   Who says these scouts are there just for him , Stevenage would be good option for him but would they take a chance on him to keep them in league football and would he start every game ??  Fingers crossed itís all a load of tosh and he carry on banging them in for lynnís promotion challenge  :worship:

With Buryís collapse itís just one down this year from League 2 Mallard.

Weíve the number of clubs being linked to him, Iíve started to resign myself to him leaving before the league window closes. My hope is that the demand for him leads to a six-figure fee, (and hopefully gets Marriott a good deal too; heís earned it.)

Thanks for that Lough, I stand corrected.  Was forgetting about the demise of Bury.

Think as a club we have never stood in the way of players progressing. George Thompson, Cameron King and of course FBT last season.  Just hope we get a good result for the club if he does leave.   At 28 years of age he hasnít got that many years to make it as a pro
