Mate of mine just had a look at The Walks on his way through.
His words were.

In a hell of a state no football is going to be played here today.

I'm standing at the walks at the moment, its not too bad and looking at the rainfall live radar the rain will go in an hour replaced by dry windy weather. I played 324 times for Leyton orient in the 1970's and 1980's we would always played in conditions much worse than this.  The team needs to play that's the bottom line.

I find that with this club, you are better off following Twitter than the website.  :dontknow:

True, and often better to just follow the Chairman, this from his Twitter feed earlier:

"Despite the best efforts of the groundsman who has been at the ground since 7am todayís match is OFF.  There are one or two patches in the usual spots - itís very close but in everyoneís interests we need to make a quick decision"

Fixtures really starting to be an issue now and with Leamington's home match off today lets hope that things improve for Tuesday evening.

If you think this is bad . . .

With the Southport game falling victim to the weather it means Lynn have managed to play just the two games in February . . but it could have been worse.
On Boxing Day 1962 (it was a Wednesday) Lynn entertained Ramsgate Athletic, winning 2-1 in front of a Walks crowd of 750 and it was not until 16th March that they saw another home game.

During the eighty days of inactivity at The Walks Lynn did manage to play twice: away to Hastings on 23rd February and to Dover on 9th March.
April 1963 was something of a catch-up month with Lynn playing eleven times (winning seven and drawing two). The season eventually ended on 18th May.

Crickey that must have hurt the clubs cash flow going 3 months without a home game.  I guess this latest inactivity canít have done us any favours on the cash flow front either.  Letís be thankful for the big gates v Boston and York that should secure any problems on that front.

Seems I got that wrong.   Stephen Cleeve ( on Twitter) has put out an appeal for people to buy their tickets for the Bradford game ASAP to help with a current cash flow problem.

With all the games we have left maybe he could offer a 4 match discounted  ticket to bring in some cash quick.  I know Boston did this quite successfully, recently.

Mark (Hearle) would that be an option ?  Maybe just make it available for 7 days to get the cash in quick.

For those not on Twitter this is the Chairmans post.

It would be a huge help for those of you that are coming to the Bradford Park Avenue home game if you buy your tickets this week - would help the clubís cash flow a lot
