Gateshead away

This looks a tough one.  Hopefully Lynn will do an overnighter to give them every chance of getting something here ?

York travel to Alfreton and following two poor home results.    Could be interesting

A few of us thought that Gateshead were the best opposition side to have played at The Walks this season. They're full-time pros, I believe, so will have done their homework. A draw would be a magnificent result.

Thought Chester were the best team at the walks this seadon. Agree though that Gateshead also looked a very good side Will definetly be a tough match Saturday

With games coming thick n fast over the next few weeks I can see a lot of squad rotating taking place.
Horses for Courses ( Cheltenham Festival next week), protecting players.  Call it what you will.  Wouldn’t be surprised to see 5/6 changes for tomorrow’s game from the line up that started Tuesday.

Post match IC was saying Peds really struggled through with injury the other night.  Wonder if he will be fit to start and if not I guess Bazza will be rubbed down with an oily rag and rolled out.

Looking at the highlights, Peds made a couple of really good saves and it wasn't obvious he was struggling, tho I suspect if I had been watching for 90 mins it would have been more obvious. Hopefully he is good to go for Saturday. Should be a real good game of football up there. They are on a good run and a good side, and Lynn have a long away journey, but are the best team in the league.

I know you don't really want to take any game for granted, but the game to rotate heavily and rest certain players would be BPA at home midweek, rather then this weekend.

There's arguments for other teams, but IMO this is the toughest game left for Lynn. Gateshead are a well drilled side, and them stupidly only taking 2 points from 9 against the bottom 2 teams is probably what is going to see them finish in play offs rather then pushing to win the league. I'm predicting a 2-1 win to Lynn.

We have a quality 18 man squad ( 20 when Fryatt n Clunan are back).   I don’t see any of that 18 not worthy of a starting place Non League.   Will rotating really weaken us ?

Thanks for that, Lindsay’s boot.  Good luck to IC and the team today.  Considering the serious stuff going on in the world today, particularly the current “nasty” that hasn’t yet hit our corner, talking in depth about our footy fix might be a bit trite.  So only a quickie from me - I just hope IC picks a strongly attacking line-up, because we don’t need the Gateshead form team all over our penalty area for 90 minutes ... COYL !

Apparently the "nasty" has already "hit our corner" with a couple from Heacham currently in isolation due to the hotel they stayed in recently, when in Tenerife.

Great result on the road today 4 points from 2 away games, what’s not to like.

Seems as though there was some trouble between the two sets of fans and Lynn team coach had to have a police escort out of the place.
