The answer Griss is Napoleon Bonaparte

'Attack is the best form of defence' was coined in the USA in the 18th century. It was initially intended to be a military tactic rather than an everyday maxim.

The earliest version of it that I know of is in R. W. Gibbes' Documentary History of the American Revolution, in which he attributes this comment to a W. H. Drayton and dates it as 1775:
“No one believes more firmly than Comrade Napoleon that all animals are equal. He would be only too happy to let you make your decisions for yourselves. But sometimes you might make the wrong decisions, comrades, and then where should we be?”

Who used the( Attack is the best form of defence ) the first time ?

William Henry Drayton in 1775, or a similar maxim by Sun Tzu,a Chinese general, military strategist, the author of The Art of War, an influential work of military strategy.“Attack is the secret of defense; defense is the planning of an attack.”

Or me in one of my strap-lines along with "Dominate the ground of tactical importance - that's the whole pitch guys"

Tony I would hope there will be a big up turn with regard to income.

TV Monies from BT Sport
League money ( 60-70k this past season?)
Full time commercial Manager.
New Sponsorship deals ( back and front of shirt) so should reflect where we are now.
64 page programme advertising
Prices of board advertising at the ground should bring in some serious money.

I just read in The NLP that figure quoted As coming from the League, for this coming season for National League sides is 90k. If the Lynn Wage figure is 450-500k. Then there is 20% of the budget gifted.
