Still think we will see him at The Walks

LOL.

Nothing would surprise me!

Maybe if the League Club deal does not suit his demands, he'll look at Lynn as an option again.   :dontknow:

Word was it was Crewe, but reading that article maybe he is keeping Lynn open as an option.....or maybe Cambridge.   :dontknow:

Where did the Crewe link come from ?
Given he seems to want to be within an hour of home and feels he has proved he is good enough for the NL after 2 years at Halifax, another move up by 2 steps is quite a jump.

Looks like he is hoping for something like Cambridge or Lynn.

I will be surprised if he doesn't come.
IC mentioned a pacey midfielder signing......Simon Power is more of an out and out winger/attacker to my way of thinking. Would be very surprised if a footballer who has just proved himself at NL with Halifax and turns down a new contract offer from them in favour of looking to return close to home, doesn't have some offer/talks on the table.
But then I could be wrong...have been before..infact only last week  :laughcry: :laughcry:

PS If he does come...what a squad...the pace of King, Loza and Power combined with the pre existing side...wow !

From the Clubs website:

The Linnets have today pulled off a massive transfer swoop with the signing of midfielder Cameron King. The 24 year old was released by fellow National League outfit FC Halifax at the end of last season on the completion of his two year contract.

Locally based King joined Norwich City’s Academy at the age of 8 and made his debut for the Canaries in 2014 in a League Cup tie with Shrewsbury Town. In November of the same year Cameron made his international debut for Scotland’s Under 21’s in a match with Switzerland where he scored the equalising goal. The following season was punctuated by injury which resulted in Cameron being released by Norwich and deciding to link up with his local club Thetford Town where he enjoyed a productive season. A move to Shamrock Rovers followed before he enjoyed a brief loan spell at The Walks which included a memorable strike versus Weymouth in a Southern League play off semi final. In the close season he agreed a deal with FC Halifax and has been a regular in the team ever since.

Speaking on the news of King’s arrival at the club Director of Football Rob Back said ‘ Cameron is a class act and one who we have been chasing for a while. When it became clear that he was available we pulled out all of the stops so we could get the deal done and bring him into the football club. He has gained a lot of experience at this level of football and that will be invaluable to the team for next season. He is a very creative player who has an eye for a pass and enjoys being a pivotal player in a game. His arrival also creates even more competition for places in the manager’s starting line up which can only be good for everyone.

Great signing.  Have to disagree with the idea that competition for places, if it involves too many players, it is not “always a good thing for everyone”.  Players often don’t produce their best until they feel they are regulars, and I worry that the squad may become a little top heavy, with the unfortunate possibility of our losing good players.  Whoever left would be a good player, because we don’t have any who are not.  Again, great signing..and well done to all concerned in making it.
