Saturday at Heacham FC
« on: September 10, 2020, 07:43:06 PM »
For those looking to get to watch some football, saturday is a great opportunity to get down to see Heacham FCs home debut in the Anglian Comb Premier against Gorleston Reserves. Heacham started off last saturday away to very established Bungay by spanking the home team 7-1. Heacham have a few ex Linnets on the books including Jack Defty, Nathan Daw, Alex Clunan and the likes of Ross McNeil in the dug out.
Look forward to seeing some of you there. You won't be diussappointed and for example a bottle of water is 50P NOT £2!!!!!!!

Of course its not for everyone, but if things keep going the way they are, watching teams such as Heacham could be the only option in the future!  :dontknow:

I think there could possibly be a few more attend than would there would be normally. As Chilly says, a few of our ex players there, so there's local interest.

They appear to have put a decent squad together for that level, and we know that people follow winners.

Good luck to Heacham.  But be careful.  There  is a killer virus about.  Too many people think that’s all gone !

Heacham FC are a club going a long way, after 4 promotions in 4 years, winning almost every game !
This Saturday they had a tough game v Golestone Res. but won 1 nil  with a late goal from that previous
Linnets legend JACK DEFTY ! Pop along and watch a club going places !

Is this tie-up still in place?

Lynn News, July 2017

King’s Lynn Town FC announce Heacham link-up

PUblished: 11:11, 11 July 2017

The Linnets have announced an official tie with Anglian Combination Division Four side Heacham FC.

The move comes as the club continue to forge new links within the community.

Heacham boss David Griggs told www.kltown.co.uk: “Myself and the club are pleased to confirm this new venture between ourselves and King’s Lynn Town.

“Initially, Lynn will be loaning us two youngsters for the new season to give them experience of a season in men’s football.

“It is hoped that they will gain a good grounding of football with ourselves playing at Anglian Combination level.

“We have achieved two promotions over the past two seasons and are looking to move along to the next level.

“This is just the beginning of what we hope will be a long partnership between the two clubs.”

Reserve team boss Rob Back is also looking forward to the new venture.

Back said: “I’m happy with the new arrangement.

“We have a few younger players that need to play adult football so this link will bridge another gap for us. It is a partnership that will work both ways going forward and again it’s another move from the club to put itself into the community and to be seen to supporting local football within the area.”
