Having just read that IC is looking to bring another new face then donít think that there will be any restrictions on players joining clubs tied to the Government hand out

It said Ďaroundí 3M, so who is to say it might even be over that figure.  Think Lynn should be looking at 40k plus.   We are around the 22nd best supported club in the 66 team structure.  So should look to be. In the top 33% of payouts.

3m divide by 66 clubs comes out around the 45k mark

Depends if there is divisional weighting applied. Any idea of there will be a transfer embargo linked to these payments. Itís not beyond the wit of man that some unscrupulous owners would use the bailout money for means beyond those intended, and I hope there are some tight restrictions to prevent such.

And you canít really justify asked players to take a pay cut if still spending money on new ones.

I suppose any justification will be centred around it being Henderson money.  :dontknow:

An additional nice windfall for York City on the eve of the opening game of season and Govt grant money about to come through.

Norwich sell Ben Godrey to Everton, which has a sell on clause which means York receive 2.5 million.

The National League has secured £10 million of funding for the first 3 months of the season.

After that, the situation will be reviewed.

The League believes this "is to allow for the possibility of crowds being allowed back into stadiums on some basis as the season progresses."

Have to be more than happy with that.

Reading in yesterdayís NLP the suggestion is that the monies will be spilt 55% to the National League with 45% going to the North and South.

Monies given will be based on attendance levels ( based on last year ?). However there will
Allowances made ( and uplift) for the Promoted Clubs.   This should put us around halfway in the adjusted attendance League table.

The average payout per Club will be circa 80k per month.  As we are right in the middle of the table thatís what we can maybe expect to receive.

If you amortise that over a complete 9 month season then thatís around 720k. Factor in things like Shirt sponsorship ( biggest in clubs history) TV, Streaming (£12 a pop) Board sales, Prog Adverts and sales. Etc.   Then maybe not short of the magical £1m mark.

I think on a recent podcast SC stated it took 650-700k to run the Club per annum. Will the suggested extra 300-350k give the Club the chance to mount a serious promotion challenge?   All thanks to Boris.

The above Figures obviously donít include any amount that SC sticks in himself.

FACTOR IN THE SHIRT SPONSORSHIP BEING THE BIGGEST IN THE CLUBS HISTORY!
Do you believe everything you read .
The only thing BIGGEST was the amount that was asked of numerous potential sponsors. 36% of that was allegedly agreed, so take it from me i know one company who sponsored for more.

GC you seem have so many sour grapes towards the club? Do you care to take time to explain why?

Do we have to keep raking it up again and again........we know that a number of people who have been loyal supporters and backers of the club over a number of years feel they have been harshly treated and this is both sad and unfortunate.
But this is for the individuals on both sides to work through if the desire is there. There is so much to be positive about in relation to the club at the moment....the best it's ever been in so many regards....please lets enjoy and support that.........and try and leave the bitterness and sniping behind.

Of course! Why would i not. I have no problem with the team.
Listening in on Radio Norfolk tonight also. Been going through that gate since 1962. I and many others have seen it all but not everybody  has had the pleasure/displeasure.
Yes there is a difference between biggest and second biggest. I was just stating that it is again incorrect to say this sponsorship is the biggest.

Itís good GC than you are still following the Team/Club despite your little fallout with the Chairman ( hereís hoping there is an olive branch somewhere along the line).   Hard habit to break, come rain or shine for many.

As for biggest/2nd biggest.   Club says biggest you say not the biggest.  Surely with the club being at its highest standard you would the deal would be one of, if not the biggest than something from past.
