Bit disappointed tonight, not in the team but the management. The decision to bring off number 9, Mulready and number 7, Hilliard, whom scored a goal was a bad decision and these were the two most creative players in the whole match.. Number 10 seemed very unfit and kept losing the ball along with the lack of hunger to win the ball, very confused as to why he wasn't substituted instead of 7. Finally the decision to make the substitutes so late when there were clearly some players struggling for fitness baffles me, considering they weren't even substituted when it came to it. Seems like the managers favourites are played whether it has a positive impact or not, leaving the players who are actually capable of making a change left without less, if any game time.  First half of the match was brilliant but the second half was very disappointing.

I wonder if general fitness/tiredness was more the issue. The game should have been won by half time but we couldn't get any more goals that our play deserved. Second half was reminiscent of some earlier matches in the season where we lacked the same intensity, like some of the players were getting tired.

Have to admit I've got neck ache this morning watching St Neots hoof ball tactics for 90 minutes. There wasn't much else from them other than trying to pick out Roberts with long hopeful punts. A far cry from the proud footballing team that won the UCL a few seasons ago. They couldn't live with our passing play in the first half yet by the end of the second they had sadly dragged us down to their level and the ball spent far too much time in the air.

Also I suggest both linesmen from last night take a look at the rules and understand that an offside decision is made when the ball is played, and not when the St Neots number 5 screams "LINO!" at them.

Just when Setch calls for a big push toward the play-offs  The team Comes up with just a meagre return of 4 points out of 15 in the last 5 games.  Could it be with  a small Squad we just ran out of legs at the crucial time ?  Still been  a decent season and one of progress, just a little bit of a damp squib to end on.

Whatever the reason for the recent slump it has served to starkly highlight the fact that alongside most non and lower league clubs our core support - those who will attend irrespective of the standard of fare on offer, continues to decline.......There are no quick fixes unfortunately. Repositioning the club at the heart of the community is a long term project. However, innovative and consistent marketing within the community is as has been posted so often by so many, the key to increasing the size of the gate and the core support.........An area where IMO we are so sadly lacking.

Possibly true but was there such marketing in the days when we were averaging gates of over 1,000?
A winning team near the top of the league markets itself - a losing team will struggle to get support no matter how much marketing takes place.

It will be interesting to see what happens to speedway gates this season if their current form does not improve.

Fair comment, Nemesis that 'success' on the pitch is the only thing that will now attract many. However I do believe that if the club were succesful in attracting say 100 newcomers to a game some might become core supporters?
