This on SC’s TwitterStephen Cleeve@StephenCleeve·2hLooks to me that the Govt may be backtracking on the amount of money being given to The National League. £1.6 million to the Arts, hundreds of millions to hospitality but the League can't even get £ 3 million a month! Shifting sands from either the DCMS or The Treasury DANGER
That's a very fair point LL. The Premier League is no longer affordable to the average working man, it has got completely out of control. Most people who claim to support a top team are only in fact followers of a team as they never actually get to see that team play due to the ridiculous prices to line the pockets of the rich.
It does seem these wealthy Individual Club owners are always looking for others to indulge them in their hobby. I think as a Country we also need to very careful on the pressure that is placed on the public purse strings.
If, as SC is suggesting the Govt bail out money is now in doubt will we see a battening down of the hatches ? I see Slough are down to 13 fit players and can’t afford to bring the n extra bodies. Lucky we have a 20 man squad to go with.
Don't think so Mall...think clubs are waiting on Gvnmt bailout to see what they can afford.......gvmt are just behind the curve on this (there's a thing) and need to get into gear.
