Sonny Carey scores in the 81st minute to put Lynn's name in the hat for the next round of the cup.

Port Vale 0  Kings Lynn 1.

Yes, high time he pulled his finger out !  :laughcry: :laughcry: :laughcry:

Hopefully a turning point for the defence, who must be getting more familiar with each other and also of course have IC's top notch defensive input.
Still a few glitches during the game, but ultimately a clean sheet, away to a full strength, unchanged top 6 league 2 side

Very impressive.  I thought the defending was excellent, individually and as a unit.  Mair and Lupano are prize additions.  Haven’t been impressed with Mair until today, but I am now !  He was superb.  And how long do we have Lupano for ?  Five years, with any luck.  All the others were so good as well.  Prefer an easy draw to a big club, but we may have a good season here !

When was the last time ( go on admin you know you want to 😂) that Kings Lynn went further in the FA Cup than Ipswich Town ?

Food for thought that one

Wow. The biggest result in recent times for the club and only four comments which go no where near the achievement. Come on people let’s give credit where it is due.

Sonny Carey’s winning strike made it on to BBC breakfast time FA Cup round up.  Check out Rooney’s goal for Stockport from his own half.

Great result for SC yesterday.  Be another Port for him to add to his collection 😂

Very much so Mallard. This one can go down as a real vintage performance.

Results such as yesterdays don't come along that often.

Defence was superb, up front I thought Southwell ran his socks off, and Power in the first half was always dangerous,  McAuley had a great game, (even the local reporter liked him) , home draw please, even though we cant go.  Don't want to travel all day in a lockdown.

Correct - although 120 years to be precise as we didn't enter until the 1900-01 season

If club can stay at NL level or better, then there will be these type of occurrences on a much more regular basis
