Why the hell would anyone not prepared to suffer some abuse every now and again ever take up being a football referee ?
A bit like taking up boxing and not expecting to be hit
I would guess the level of abuse and the subject matter would come in to it.
Not sure a football referee would be happy with it coming from a Press box, no matter what.
Apparently the Club Officials have now handled the situation in a very professional manner, and it is all sorted.
