Find themselves in a spot of bother at the wrong end, so sign Gloucester manager James Rowe who brings Akwasi Asante(remember him ) with him.

First match in charge is v Weymouth, Asante scores twice in the 2-1 win. Rowe likes the look of Tom Whelan in the Weymouth midfield, so signs him.

The buying power of a full time team, offering players full time contracts and the opportunity to play at a 10,000, all seater stadium.

Welcome to the big time Weymouth and Lynn et al !!

Very true KES - they are the two problems... money/full time fitness, better stadium, but also geography.  Itís down to us to keep turning up in large numbers to ensure that we eventually compete with the better teams.  I think we can do it.

We'll need far more than people just turning up in large numbers to do it!

Hasnít this ever been so ( and still is in Football)?   I seem to recall we got beat by Long Buckby.  Three of their players ended up at The Walks ( Quigley, Bunting and Dunkly)
Money has always talked in Football.    Even at Kings Lynn

It's a hungry beast.

No matter how much you feed it, there's always going to someone else prepared to feed theirs more.
