https://www.change.org/p/department-for-digital-culture-media-and-sport-save-the-national-league-football-clubs-with-urgent-support-grants-not-loans

"After changing the terms of its support in the middle of the season, the government must reverse its decision to offer loans and now fulfil its promise of a new grant".

NL were given the opportunity to show evidence of it ever being said that future money would be in the form of grants not loans, and failed to produce anything.

"Our clubs play an immeasurable role in communities all over the UK and provide immense structures of support for many".

Some do, some don't. Far too easy to say, less easy to prove.

National League clubs have been asked to vote on resolutions.

The resolutions give clubs the chance to vote to end the season at either Step 1, Step 2 or both.

Ending the season would make the relevant division(s) null & void.

For legal reasons, clubs have 28 days to respond.

Res. 1: Gives clubs the chance to decide the fate of their own Step.

Res. 2 & 3: Clubs vote to end their own Step (only applies if Res. 1 passes):

Res. 4: Clubs vote to end all Steps (only applies if Res. 1 fails)

*Res. 1 needs 75% majority.
*Res. 2,3&4 needs 50% majority.

Will the League be put on hold for 28 days while this is given the due consideration?  Asking Some clubs to find 2 months wages might be a step to far for some

Looking at them choices then I would hazard a guess that....the national league will continue and north and south will end.... :dontknow:

Will this really sort the haves and have nots ?   Seems there are plenty of Clubs in the NL who have boards of directors that are prepared to fund it.   Then you have the likes of us who are in effect relying on the deep pockets of one man.   How far is he prepared to go to fund an end of season where we have no chance of promotion and with no relegation.

Who would blame him if he cut the squad numbers, asked the remaining players to take a pay cut and used some of the youngster from the Reserves to fill any gaps on the cheap.

Without being too cynical how many of the players who have struggled at this level will IC want back next season ?

To me it’s all about being around as a club come August.
