IMO ...if you.take the loan that's it........club will ultimately fold within 12 months....just doesn't have the income streams to cope with that level of debt

If a club furloughs some players does that break the rule about fielding the strongest team?

every game 5 players don't get in squad.5 under 21 players as subs That's not putting out weak side.If it's only way to continue then and it's not acceptable just stop playing.

I believe that was one of the questions the Dover Chairman raised when he resigned from NL Board.

They've not been very flexible regarding other rules recently, so who knows.  :dontknow:

So who would you furlough?
Aaron Jones an obvious choice and maybe Rory McAuley if he is out for 3-4 weeks.

Players who cannot be furloughed Tyler Denton, Alex Kiwomya, Michael Gyasi, Kyle Callan-McFadden.
Can the new secretary kick a ball?

Got to be preferable to the loan. Wealdstone have already started to go down that route. You are still trying to play the strongest side you can with less resource, so that should be ok I would have thought...not like you are deliberately throwing a game.
Furlough asmany as poss, sig. wage cut for rest, use the ressies to make up nos and have a squad.of 15/16 for rest of season.

Sorry, Joe Taylor is also on contract and signed after the end of October so that would make six employees including the secretary.

Very difficult one for the Chairman, but I'd go down this route as well.

On what I’m hearing the Chairman wants his cake and eat it.

Interesting times.

Let’s hope Ian Culverhouse is onboard with this idea to carry in.  He said that he wants the season to end.   Would hate to see the Club to lose him for a 2nd time

Personally would think I C would understand...just a case of getting to the end as unscathed as possible. Will give the fringe players who would otherwise be sat at home good game time...some may flourish and put themselves in contention for next season.

Although its ultimately one person's decision as to which way to go,  I would guess he would have to have all his management team and players to be in full agreement with that decision.

I can imagine that matters  could get a bit awkward if not.   :dontknow:
