Please see my post about Stewarding on Tuesday, I have been standing on the North terrace for 20 odd years +, You can't hear the PA there anyway. The Hi viz stewards who have never been to the walks before, just randomly put tape all over the place intimidating the youngsters into bunching together !!! When we playing in front of 400 a few years ago there where hardly any youngsters coming to the games, now there are here we have idiots in Hi Vis who take these "guidance/rules" too far, a more common sense approach would be, where money was spent on local people used as stewards and The PA system up graded so it can actually be heard on the North terrace.

Sorry, but we can't blame volunteers for a number of grown men who don't accept their own responsibilities. Why do those "grown men" need to be told by anyone to adhere to Covid regulations? It was quite obvious, that event would be monitored, and a reduced capacity is the outcome. Not the volunteers fault I'm afraid. I managed to stay far enough apart and still see what was going on.

Exactly. Seen a number of quotes today to the affect of ‘I knew I was breaking the rules, but it was wrong for the stewards to tell me I was breaking the rules. They should have stopped from being in a place to break the rules in the first place.’

The fans were in the wrong, the reduction has happened. The club and fans really need to make sure the same doesn’t happen on Saturday, or we might find ourselves playing the first game of the new season behind closed doors as a punishment, rather than due to COVID.
