Yeah but what was his first touch like ?

I remember back in the 70s Norwich had a striker called Ted McDougall was top scorer in what was the old First Division, now the Premiership.  Now he wasn’t blessed with pace in fact some said they had seen milk turn quicker than Ted.

With IC hoping to have the makings of a squad together by tomorrow ,the 10th, will we see any more arrivals today?

Looks like

Keepers ...... 1

Defenders ....... 9

Midfield........ 6

Strikers.......  3

What is still to come ?

What is still to come?  Hopefully there will be more changes to the squad, both in personnel terms and in balance but need to see an update on the existing 2020-21 squad to get a better view what we are really missing. 

Of those 9 defenders, Jones and McFadden are currently injured and I wouldn't expect to see Brown or Fleming (or McAuley if he is in your numbers) in the squad come the start of the season.  Midfield is a bit of a worry, particularly if we are relying on King being one of the mainstays this season given his previous injury record (not just last season but throughout his career).  Probably still need another striking option (or two) as I don't think Southwell has shown enough to warrant a return.  All in all still plenty of work to be done in terms of building a competitive squad but still time although if we are hoping of attracting season long loans they might need to be finalised sooner rather than later.

No Tone. I didn’t include McAuley.   I understood that both Jones and McFadden were likely to be fit come the start of the season.   

I think we could certainly do with a 2nd keeper.   Difficult position to fill that one.

Gold was a Keeper originally, so if something happens and we are left without cover.............

Personally think we will run with one keeper and get a short term  loanee in if he gets injured.

More concerning for me are the need for at least one, maybe 2 midfielders and another striker or two, if Southwell goes.
