Be interesting to hear the positivity from IC this arvo.   I have to admit it has felt a very flat summer thus far.   No real headline signings, squad that looks paper thin, friendlies where we seem to have gone away with 13 players.  The PR at Club seems very distant and uninspiring.   The Chairman seemingly disappearing from the position as the figure head at Club.  The Club Circa 750k in the red.

Anyway hopefully IC will have addressed at lot of the concerns in this interview

Absolutely, agree with all of that..... everything feels really flat

As long as the Sun continues to rise in the morning, and set in the evening...............that way, we won't get any false dawns!

Anyway, season nearly upon us, and its only a couple of days away from the end of the month. If any News does come out from the Club, it should be in the next couple of days.

Well, just.listened to the video and IC seems pretty upbeat.
Like many clubs we will be going with a small squad, as he foresees only 2 more additions.
Presumably one must be a forward, as we only have 2 currently.

Let's hope IC can get the best from what he has got.

At this stage I am feeling that we will need him to.

May be there will be the odd loan along the way too.

I am kind of intrigued and perplexed at the same time....in that they seem to want to present the idea of a community club.......yet not doing much to promote it and involve fans as far as I can see......and they need extra revenue, but SC silent and no Commercial Manager......... doesn't add up to me..........maybe I am missing something........ wouldn't be the first time ha ha !

Didn’t like the sound of King being fatigued.  Hence why he missed the Gorleston game.  The hope was he would be back training the following week ( this interview must have been just after the Gorleston game).  Obviously he hadn’t recovered enough to play at Chelmsford.

IC seems upbeat and his expecting a middle table position, though SC seems to be thinking higher.

Personally, I think we are further away from being a community club than we have been for a long time. Using the "Community" angle is an easy thing to say, but maybe the question should be what do the Club think it has done to be regarded as such?

Could becoming a club that is an important part of the community be a fotl thing in future? A combination of working with and for the community, at same time as fund raising? After all, the people you could be working with in the community, could also be the same people where the money from the fund raising comes from.

The Commercial aspect has been discussed so many times before. At this level I would think most clubs have a salaried person on board, with years of experience behind them. Investment off field is as important as it is on field for long term success.

With regards to Club being quiet and people being silent........Norwich are a bit funny when it comes to what's said on social media, so maybe it's a condition of any long term plans of working together that people limit their activity and are careful what they say.   :dontknow:

Maybe any potential investors or sponsors would have a similar attitude.  :dontknow:

KES,  the reason our leader and owner is missing from action is down to him serving a long ban for Social media posts toward Wrexham and their fans.

At least that’s one mystery solved.   Not sure how that leaves things within the Club if SC is on a ban.   One of the dangers of being a one man band ?

Not just Wrexham.
"Breach of FA Rule E3 – It is alleged that 5 comments posted on the Participant’s Twitter account between 29th October 2016 and 31st January 2021, were insulting and/or abusive and/or improper and/or brought the game into disrepute, contrary to Rule E3.1. It is further alleged that 3 of these comments, are an “Aggravated Breach” as defined in Rule E3(2), as they include references (express or implied) to disability.

Charge admitted "

I won't repeat the word that was allegedly used. Absolutely appalling. The reason given is no excuse, even if true.

Community Club? I've previously posted my view on this subject and this just re enforces my view.

No major local companies rushing to sponsor a National League Club? Can anyone blame them?

We also have an Academy and youngster teams. What are parents going to think of this? Could this even impact future DBS checks?

Foot well and truly shot!

You would hope that SC would have the good sense not to respond to any abuse by using that kind of inappropriate language.

As an ex Public School boy and a very intelligent individual you would think he would have the vocabulary to knock these people back with out resorting to using derogatory terms about disabled people.

Are you saying it was justified?

The FA have deemed it totally unacceptable hence the long ban he has received.

Interestingly the offences he was charged with were from. 2016 up
To this current year.

If someone made abusive comments about my family I would not have held back which is why I am not on twitter.

You may well find it acceptable  for the Chairman of a top Non League Football club to tweet those kind of messages over a 5 year period, others may not.   Not like it was a one off.
