Think we need a back up forward.....the potential loanee that we are interested in from Norwich would fit the bill and possibly another attacking midfielder as back up to King.

I thought it was a thoroughly entertaining game and we certainly seem to be on track. Personally  I would like to see us go with two goalkeepers. The trialist who played for us against Chelmsford looked good.

Any information about Knowles who came on late on?  Also as he was named, rather than 'trialist' does this mean he has signed?

Given that it was a Peterborough u23s were there any potential loanees who impressed?  I would still like to see a couple of 'proper' signings and at least a couple of loanees coming into the squad as I am not sure the bench last night is really what we want to be going into a season with.  I know there were a couple of lads out injured but that would be the case most weeks

And there was us hoping it was either Tom or Dom.

Thanks GS, I was with B&G.  Still think we need a few more lads in and around the squad capable of holding their own rather than just filling a spot on the bench

The 11 that started. Plus Sundire, Bowery, Clunan, Fleming, Gascoigne and Jones.  Or have I missed anyone.?
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Not included any of the Academy players.   There is a lot of them, I assume.

I guess it depends on how you rate the players you have listed but I can't see Fleming or Gascoigne being part of a regular match day squad (plus I remain to be convinced that Gyasi is a NL standard player).  For me the balance isn't quite there yet in terms of players and positions, hence I think we ought to be looking a bringing in another couple of players if the budget will allow.

Whilst we certainly look a lot stronger than last year both in terms of individuals and the fact that there looks the making of a formation and way of playing that has directed the recruitment, many of NL sides look a lot stronger than last year with lots of teams in the hunt for playoff places, I don't think we are in that position but have to hope now we are full time we can be more cohesive than last year and avoid being in and around the relegation scrap.

For sure teams at the top end looked to have added to their squads.   Mullin from Cambridge Utd looks an amazing signing for Wrexham.  Rejected the opportunity to play League One to drop back into the Conference.  Must have taken some serious wonga to make the player choose that route.

Can see Sundire starting ahead of Gyasi.  Which to me looks a decent starting 11. Maybe Bowry for Fernanaze as well.

I 100% agree that bench doesn’t look good enough to change things or fill in for injuries etc.   I can see a couple more coming before the season starts.

Did the young City lad sign for Southend, does anyone know ?

The only person I would disagree with (IMO) is Clunan. He is not good enough for this league or the league below way out of his depth. He gives the ball away too many times in dangerous areas.
