How does buying food cheaply at a local Chippie and Supermarket not to mention pints at a local pub,  help SC and the Club pay back a 500k loan he has saddled the club with ?
It doesn’t, but the quality of food at the Norwich friendly was so poor for the price. I wouldn’t pay it again.

.....and there's the rub, if SC wants fans through the turnstiles and wants them to shell out once inside, the overall match day experience, including food has to be good quality and reasonable value.... it's not enough to say....    My club has taken on a huge debt and I hope you fans will help me pay it off, by paying over the odds

A Fan Survey is required here. A simple questionnaire asking what the fans want. What type of food, drink, entertainment etc.  What price they would be prepared to pay. It's worked at other clubs, could work here if the owner was to embrace the idea of putting the supporters first for a change.  Put it on social media, in the programme.  Would be ideal task for Grissles, he's suggested most of the answers already. If more people gave the same answers, it would be hard for the owner not to act on them.  Unless he already has plans for the future ?

Common sense, but I'm not so sure on that one Marcus.   :dontknow:

I’m sure it was Boston A)  done reasonably priced burger n chips and selection of food , not knocking the staff but hope they can keep up as it’ll be being ordered from both sides of the cabin especially big games as what ever the critics they’ll still be plenty who’ll want feeding .
Me personally think £3.50 for saus/chips is fare , also burgers , and still think jacket spud n beans will be a hit I’m sure many moons ago they used to do them .  Trouble is it’s got to be fast served up  food otherwise people won’t queue.

It's about finding a way of maximising your income from a captive audience in a limited time. It's not rocket science.

And regarding the charge of  £1000 plus VAT for a burger van to attend on a matchday, how many burgers does Mr. C think can be served during the limited time before a game and at halftime.

By my reckoning they would need to sell 600 to break even and that ain't possible.

Perhaps they don't teach economics at posh schools!

With a seat at £25 and a programme at 3.50 surely SC won’t begrudge the fans finding less expensive food and drink outlets away from the Ground?   Think the fans are doing enough for him by paying admission prices.

He can’t have it every way.

He seems to think he can?

And while people keep paying it he will keep charging it and more.
Do you not realise we are Chelsea in disguise!
