As much as another home defeat is disappointing the results we achieve against the Chesterfield and the other 7/8 big hitters won’t define what we do this season.  It’s what we do against the other 12/13 teams that will determine where we end up in this League.

The one big worry seems to be the size of the squad and how we will cope as the season progresses.   2 games in and we were missing Rowley, King and Linton.  Fleming sent out on loan and Jones back on the bench ( but how fit was he to be there ?).

It seems we don’t have the money to go with say a 20 man squad but in reality can we really hope to go with just 18.   Surely SC can find that bit extra to bring in two extra bodies.

If he cannot fund it himself then with all his connections in the business world he can find one or two to come onboard to pump some much needed funds in.

Fleming sent off today for Lowestoft

Rowley wasn't allowed to play today. Nobody could do anything about that.

Three games in and limited numbers having an effect already. Did everyone come through unscathed today?

It looks as if he'll have to find it one way or another. If not his dream could soon become a nightmare.

Inventive players needed ASAP and a striker who moves out of second gear during the 90 minutes !

I think the club should introduce a reward card scheme. You get it stamped each time you go to a match. Once you have got 8 stamps, you get a £3 discount off entrance fee for rest of season.

Would help bring those fans back who have reached their tipping point and now feel priced out and would give something back to the most loyal.

Rewarding your customers is always a good idea.

Not sure if we would be allowed to do what you suggest though.  :dontknow:

I believe away supporters have to be allowed entry at same price as home supporters. As they are very unlikely to have been at previous games it would mean they are paying more to gain entry.  :dontknow:

Great idea for a Chinese take away though.   :laughcry: :laughcry: :laughcry:

Well I hope you're the only one laughing at your rather superior, inaccurate and cynical post B & G........but then again I remember you posting something similar when I suggested producing and marketing masks in Lynn colours and crest about 18 months ago....of course you were correct... would never be a goer.

The idea I mentioned above is used in gyms, clinics and yes juice bars in Norwich, but something similar is used by many online businesses. You could do it by generating an on line voucher code, once someone had qualified.

You wouldn't be treating away fans any different......they have the option of coming to The Walks 8 times in a season if they so wish.

Perhaps you can suggest an alternative way of getting the fans back on board, price wise

None of Morias, Linton, Rowley and King were available today.

Next match hopefully Linton and Rowley back, game after Morias back..... people need to just calm down, we are only 3 matches in with a new squad and are doing ok

I have absolutely no idea why you  think the comment is anyway superior.  I really don't know where you are coming from with that one. In no way was I decrying your idea. I was just saying that I don't know if it would be allowed. Maybe someone could enlighten us on that matter. You've lost me on the mask comment as well.

Of course it's common practice (as you have said) in many business's to offer rewards to returning customers. It happens in many business's already, such as Chinese takeaways (hence the  :laughcry:).

Of course, all these other business's don't have to follow league rules.   :dontknow:

The Chesterfield manager never broke a sweat today ..it was all too easy and predictable and needs addressing quickly. I personally paid £55 today for me and 2 family members and we all left feeling very apathetic.

Fair enough B & G.... having re read your post, I probably over reacted and saw your last line as unnecessarily dismissive.

With the next home game, Dagenham & Redbridge being shown live on BT Sports ( 5.20 KO). I think some kind of incentive needs to be offered for fans to turn up in numbers.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

My opinion is the first thing to do is to make sure the existing supporters don't start to fall by the wayside.

Unfortunately it looks  (judging by the last two gates) as if the only thing that may do this is some sort of financial incentive. I suppose that's a case of live by the sword and die by the sword. The supporters have seen nothing but price hikes, so I suppose they are justified in thinking from the financial perspective.

So, how about a 50p (or some other amount) voucher on the back of each entry ticket, to be redeemed against a product (food, drink, merchadise, program) purchased inside the ground for the NEXT home game.

Just an idea and some meat would need adding to the bones, thats if its feasible in the first place.

Regarding getting the (shall we call them "missing") supporters back to the Walks, maybe we shouldn't be too bothered about that.  :dontknow:  After all, the Club don't seem to be!  The starting point maybe to heighten the profile of the Club and each and every home game. That would involve the Club and its Volunteers to really roll their sleeves up and get into the muck and nettles rather than sitting around tables and nodding in the right direction at the appropriate time.

I doubt either will happen. Financially its all take and no give, and I really don't know if the current  crop of well meaning volunteers are really into that kind of thing (maybe they are  :dontknow: )

FOTL are working on ideas, so hopefully we will see the results soon.

Just had a Chinese takeaway and as I spent over £17 (and before any comments are made, that's for two   :laughcry:), got my loyalty card stamped. That's 4 down with eight to go before I get my free half a crispy duck and pancakes.
