I would guess he has been on furlough so probably not much of a saving.
It was always obvious he was going - no squad number, not in team photo.
Perhaps they were hopeful that having paid to sign him they could get some money back.

The Club didn’t actually pay for Brown’s transfer.   This came out of the Chairman’s own pocket.

Seem to remember he was bought in as a huge prospect when signed.   Didn’t really work out.

The club will pick up the bill for all monies spent during the current ownership and all debt incurred...pretty obvious to anyone who takes an interest.

Neither!!  Can’t see it ever being repaid. Club is insolvent anyway and seems likely to go the same way as the current owner’s other past business ventures. Only my opinion of course.
