Altrincham and Maidenhead
« on: September 26, 2021, 02:33:46 PM »
Well after the Wealdstone result, I guess we all have to dust ourselves down, stay positive and hope for the best. I believe Altrincham and Maidenhead to be better than Wealdstone, but "football is a funny old game", to quote one of the very best. Putting my positive hat on, I am struggling to see anything more than a point from each of the next two. If I put my realistic hat on, I come up with another couple of narrow defeats due to the lack of firepower. Hopefully one of you contributors can come up with a reason to be a bit more upbeat.

If we can't find a striker nothing lost giving Tayor a game.

Would have to work fast to get someone new in for Tuesday.....think we should be recalling Taylor now and have him on the subs bench for Tuesday, to come on for second half if we are struggling up front

Think they might have a look tomorrow  to see what Norwich have to offer.

Six games in and Coleman our top scorer with 2 and Morias and Omotayo, one between them. Umerah at Wealdstone for example has 5.( Marriott currently on 2 I believe).

Maidenhead rely a lot on Barratt upfront...he has been out recently and their results have dipped

Think you could be right gs, but would be another youngster who doesn't know the league.....we have a couple of forwards in on loan at the moment, who haven't really got going, tho in the midfield McGavin and Rowley are doing well.

As a matter of interest are Altrincham and/or Maidstone full or part time ?
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Not sure on that one but I believe Wealdstone are part time.
I don't do drugs and I don't drink.
At my age I can get the same effect just by standing up too fast.

Wealdstone def part time.

Maidstone were part time, I think they still are.

Alty were part time, but I believe they have moved to full time, but will have to check

MAH you need to get a better source of information. Subbed saturday at 3-0 after scoring and making the other 2 goals and after 13 minutes tonight scored the 1st goal for Wroxham.
Yes he is a youngster but much older then the 16 year old who made his debut for Liverpool against Norwich last tuesday and in my mind was man of the match. Remember a 16 year old Rooney?
If you are good enough you are old enough. What have KLTFC got to lose. Can't be any worse than what we have produced so far.

Make that 2-0 Wroxham. Taylor BOTH goals!

Perhaps there are reasons stopping him from being given a chance.
