Maybe he has gone on a full season loan with no recall ?
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

We aren’t expected to do anything much against the big Clubs but we should be taking points from the teams in our ‘mini’ League.   After back to back defeats against teams of our level then Saturday’s game at Maidenhead really has a lot riding in it.

Mallard you are right there is a lot riding but I think every game has a lot riding on it we certainly can’t go on like this we are not used to seeing our team on a losing streak

There are only effectively about 14 games in the season we might expect to win......we have lost the first two......lose the next two and that only leaves 10......... difficult then to see how we get to the 45-50 point mark to keep us safe........these games in the mini league are absolutely vital........ something needs to change very soon I am afraid.

This is why the likes of Barnet and Aldershot have reacted as they have....they recognise you can't hang around till 10/12 games have gone and you have say only 6/7 points.......from there it's almost impossible . Obviously for Lynn it's important for IC to stay, but we need a change to the playing personnel from somewhere very soon IMO

I think it is really interesting that 99% of the fanbase (me included) would totally back the statement that it's 'important for IC to stay' but when you speak to people outside of the club their natural reaction is that IC would be under far more pressure than is the case.  Don't get me wrong, I am not calling for IC's head and the recruitment has, on the whole, been a vast improvement on last season but I don't think it's unreasonable to question the lineups in the last two games, which as you said were some of the most important of the season.  I accept Bird has been injured but we have gone away from the back three that looked reasonable at the start of the season and brought in Walker who didn't look like he really fitted in his first game (I missed the Wealdstone defeat so can't comment on his performance then) and the I have no idea how the formation worked last night.  The fear for me is we are starting to 'search' for a winning lineup in the manner we did last season that saw 20 different lineups in the first 20 games, sometime you have to accept you were beaten by a better team on the day and it wasn't the lineup or tactics that were wrong but continually chopping and changing is even less likely to produce positive results.

Personally I hope we go back to three at the back for Saturday and with Coleman returning from suspension we can find a front combination that will start to convert some chances.

I agree Tony and also believe that IC's position is reasonably safe, but not as safe as some will think.

If Culverhouse were to go, God forbid, the gates would plummet imo to below 600. That would be it , as well as his “favourite” players following him. We are playing good football, appear to ce competitive but lack a goal scorer that has to be a priority and the final piece of the jigsaw. Culverhouse and Bazza will get the ball rolling 2 wins and you’re half way up the table

Trouble is the goal scorer he is waiting for Gold and am afraid don't think he is answer. Considering position we are in really can't see why Taylor not given a chance. It might not work but his record at Wroxham is there to see.

There is nothing to lose as far as I can see, by putting Taylor on the subs bench and bringing him on for the last half hour if Lynn are struggling to score.

I cannot see SC getting shot of IC.  However let’s not forget IC walked before when things weren’t perhaps as they should have been off the field.

Now rightly or wrongly I see  Culverhouse as a proud man.  He knows what is needed to stay in this league and compete with those in it.  In an interview at the start of the season he expressed how confident he was that his new  Lynn team would compete at this level.   The problem as I see it is the squad is paper thin ( yet again).  Last night for example, we only had 4 on the bench with nothing there to fill that final spot.

The budget that SC has set seems to be “less’ than many others.  Will IC stick with it or Will his pride come into play ?

I have a cheek commenting, at the moment, because I haven’t seen a ball kicked at The Walls all season, as I’m a Covid-Coward !  I’m about to catch some videos of games, I hope, so I’m still premature, if you’ll pardon the expression !  However, last night vs Altrincham, the  texts on this site again gave the impression, as against Dagenham, that we could have sewn the game up by half-time, if we had a goal scorer.  My cynicism is possibly known on here, but I hold out no hope for the Big man/Small man tactic, currently awaited, as I think “ holding it up” football isn’t usually successful nowadays.  I still think AM would have done it for us now that the team are creating chances, but, Taylor now a better bet, through availability but we do need a permanent solution.  Recruitment is more important than tactics.
