Maybe Lynn had an option on his contract and therefore the matter has to be settled by a tribunal if the clubs can't agree.

I am only guessing, but I assume the club offered him a contract which he rejected to sign for another club. In this case the club would be entitled to compensation if he was under 24 years old. The amount being decided by tribunal.
