Takes several different pieces to make a jigsaw. Then we wouldn’t all want to do the same jigsaw.
The Dill Meister general seems fixated on playing 10 slippery nipsters. That’s the way he sees the way football should be played. No idea which team he has ever seen play that way. Then again maybe he is a visionary and that’s the future. After all the best team in English Football don’t even go with a striker. False no 9 at best.

All views shared and discussed on this forum are of course what makes it the fun that it genuinely is.

Some might say that due to injuries and suspensions, Lynn have almost been testing out this theory at times already this season !

Away day score draw for me🤞. As for the team selection particularly in midfield,
We must include mcgavin in with coleman and clunan... These three are on fire at the moment
Even if the system is changed somewhat.... These are at this current time our most valuable assets on the goal_front.... Good luck to all who has travelled 👏👏👏👏

To one and all - of course a team has to have a variety of types - it isn’t true that a Dilly team would have 10 nipsters. I simply noticed that, last season in particular, our team selection often had none, but loads of centre-halves. Teams like that spend a lot of the time picking the ball out of the back of the net ! For a few years now, nearly all the successful teams play without a central striker. I remember a stunned English commentator interviewing Del Bosque of Spain, saying incredulously that he hadn’t picked a goal scorer (centreforward). Del Bosque looked at him mystified, and said. What do you mean, I’ve got six goal scorers in this team ! He had, too ! I’m surprised, finally, that some people think Salah and Mane wouldn’t score goals without the help of Milner and Van Dijk ! BUT, we all agree on COYL !!!

Taken from the live feed today.
He ain't got no money,
His clothes are kinda funny,
His air is creased back and lifeless,A dream thats gone wrong, he'll have to stop banging his gong,
Now thoughts of league football is now a bit senseless.
It's never his fault, its always the others, so he surrounds himself with his minions,
They'll only agree and follow his wishes, and slag off supporters opinions
He's led us to water, but there's none there to drink,
So he's baffled what others may think.
Why they won't give him money, in support of his company, or buy his food and his drink.
They're all fed up with him and his house built of straw,
and with foundations that seem even weaker.
With nowhere to go, and a manager that won't speak to him,
The future keeps getting bleaker.
It's only the money that got us this far,
And now there seem to be none of it,
Progression has slowed,
And you reap what you sow,
As the gates show by taking a hit.
We'll rise from the ashes,
When it all burns and crashes,
And we have to start over again.
We'll sing the same song, so we won't do no wrong,
When Lynn once again becomes strong.
Nice work UBER. worthy of posting under your real name.

It's going to be a long, hard, slog of a season in and around the relegation zone, it seems

I’d love to know what the blue print is for the future under Cleeve.
Manager seemingly hamstrung in terms of squad numbers, and no budget to bring anyone in. So much so that he goes all the way to Torquay with a 13 man squad. This is Dog n Duck territory.
Sorry but it appears to beg the question is Stephen Cleeve really capable of running a Club at this level? Now it seems the lack of off field activity is causing massive problems with the on field activity.
Or am I just being to negative ?

Lots wrong it seems, but any away game at this level is going to be tough.

That tough that all we can muster is a squad of 13?
Situations like this have a negative impact on gates at Home. Let’s see how many turn out for Tuesday.

If you are running on a ‘thin’ squad and you get injuries, where do you turn ?

The budget isn’t there because the owner misjudged the fans and number who would turn out and how much they would be prepared to pay. Commercial activity is poor, as it seems to have been for sometime. So without the £500k loan money where would we be ? Once that is burnt through, then what ?

Aldershot, Wealdstone, Weymouth , Lynn all in similar boats and looking equally poor in front of goal really. Wealdstone to their credit are getting results in the vital ones...beat us at Walks and draw away to Weymouth today....and Wealdstone are part time still, I believe. Have to think that Southend and Barnet will pull away as time goes on. Wealdstone are also very hopeful of getting loanees from London clubs come January apparently, so could just be which one out of Weymouth , Aldershot and Lynn finds a reliable goalscorer...if any do.
