Why has this poster had his thread removed ?   Was a really interesting theme and some good follow up posts.

He removed it himself. As his was the first post on the thread, it means all other posts on that thread have gone too.

Maybe he'll explain why he decided to remove it. It was a good post with some valid points. My guess is that it was a post with a specific objective, but the replies did not suit that objective.

I know quite a few people saw it before it was removed so it will be interesting to read their comments.

Nothing wrong with it in my opinion.  I believe the poster is, or was a volunteer at the Club, so maybe he was asked to remove said post, by the Club.  :dontknow:

I used to work for the club but left a year ago. I used to be part of the stewarding team, but got fed up with how they were treated.

I was asked to remove the thread by a member of the club. which was a shame because people made some very good counter points. I didnt want a certain response and was never interested in just my side of the points was more interested in everyones thoughts.

I am all open for debate because everyones opinions are different. But we all want the same thing and thats for the club to succeed

And you agreed to do it?  :dontknow: Who asked you to remove it?

Why did they want It removed? It was a very good post and made some valid points, as did the posts that followed.

Can I suggest that whoever it was at the Club that asked you to remove it, to have a word with the Chairman and ask him to remove his posts from social media.

At least they would have some justification in doing so.

Looks like it depends who's speaking and who's doing the kicking!   :laughcry:

West pardon me for being a little Confused.Com

You put up a thought provoking thread where you attack some of the things SC has done under his stewardship.   Some people agreed, some of us disagreed with your view. Then you remove it as you suggest we are all pulling in the same direction.

You say it was a ‘shame’ to take down the thread.  If that’s the case ( I agree it was a shame) why on Earth would you take it down ?

Very strange this.  I can recall nothing in the post or subsequent responses that could cause offence.  Is it bullying? I wonder.  Why not name and shame the person who asked you to take it down.  Precedent has already been established by Cleeve so this shouldn’t pose a problem for anyone including the club.

People not just being "allowed", but actually being encouraged to air their views is the sign of a healthy club....... it's the way you build a large fan base with everyone feeling a part.

Just as a Church is not the building, but is the congregation, so a football club is not its ground, Chairman, Manager or players.......they all come and go, but it is the fans that remain.

If you take a position of responsibility in any walk of life you can expect to hear people's views....some will be positive, some negative. In order to be able to be effective in your role, you have to be able to deal with criticism in a positive way.

It's therefore very disappointing to hear what has happened re the West thread.....and IMO it would be healthy and positive to know "Who and why", because it's vital going forward that fans feel that their views are important to the hierarchy.

In addition to all that's been said, I really don't think there was anything on there that had not been mentioned already on other social media sites.

This post just seemed to bring a lot of those comments together.

Sad thing is you need positivity to breed positivity, when you get nothing from the club unless it is negative then you elicit a negative response! And what people class as moaning is people giving an opinion,an opinion that they are not happy with where the club is going! This is not because they want the club to fail, every fan that pays to go through those turnstiles do it because they support the club,so therefore are entitled to an opinion! In recent weeks though in case you have not noticed, the moaners/negative fans have influenced changes, price reduction, improvment in food provisions, improvement in what is available in the bar, activities being planned! So what I say to the moaners and negative fans, keep up the bloody good work! :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
