I keep reading we play “lovely football”, but with no end product.  I feel we would play better football with footballers in midfield as well as workmen and triers.  We are very unlucky to not have King available, although naive to think he would be. The team that had Carey, Kelly, Richards, Henderson, Marriott, Fox, and of course King, etc., was a lot stronger, IMO.  I think we believe too much in systems and shapes.  Players are what counts, and they move all over the place, according to what is needed.

Something has to change soon, its 3 wins in the last 27 league games

I never thought I would say this but I couldn’t agree more with you Mallard,what we need is imo is some old Lads who are on the way down just look at Boreham Wood the team was full of players who have been around a bit

I appreciate that Junior Morias  plays with passion and tries to motivate those around him. However, to my mind he is supposed to be a Striker. He spends to much time playing and looking for the ball in midfield rather than being up front looking for players to play the ball into areas for him to pounce and strike. Gold Omatayo plays to far forward to be a target man heading the ball further upfield. He's so far forward that there is no one further up to chase his head-ons. Wasted effort to head on to opposition goalie/defenders.

I was impressed by Aaron Jones when he was A Trialist prior to joining Lynn. He came on and did a good Midfield General alongside Michael Clunan. I know his position is Right Wing Back but we have Ross Barrows to fill that role. Stick Jones in where Ryan Jarvis used to play, and that IMO would strengthen our midfield/advance defence line.

My old chestnut: Man backing up on the opposite side, waiting for the overhit cross/ball squirting out from the box. Recycling the attack rather than opposition gaining unnecessary possession and attack on the break.

We seem to fall for goals scored on the break. Should we try the defend and attack on the break strategy. Seems to work for other teams.
