Listening to IC’s interview and reading between the lines things sound very strained between the Manager and the Chairman.  IC seemingly didn’t want to lose Junior but the Chairman wanted to cash in.  Doesn’t seem the Chairman is doing anything to support his Manager.  Hidden agenda maybe ?   I thought Mr Cleeve was quoted as saying he was going to fix things.  Selling players from underneath Manager is his idea of fixing things ?
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

Whatever kind of hidden agenda could that be?    :dontknow:

I have to agree with John H and Tony M.

Morias could well be a success at Dagenham, but it wasn't really working here at Lynn and I was concerned that he played on the edge to the extent that he could easily have been red carded again.
Let's hope we can find someone, be it Taylor or a newbie who can form a real partnership up front with Gold or Linton and get a regular flow of goals happening.

I had thought Lynn would find it difficult to offload either of the front two who were on long term contracts, so actually pleased that a change has been possible.

To be quite honest I think Gold had his best game for us on Saturday, could it be coincidental that it coincide with Barratt coming on? :dontknow:

Trouble is Barrett could be a hit n Miss with his fitness can’t see cully playing him for 90 every week so where will that leave gold , we did have a bit of go when Barrett came on I agree , but us to say gold had his best game yes … still average game though for me he needs to put himself about more and be the bully to defenders not the bullied . Tbh tomorrow worries me  front line what front line , just hope we don’t concede early

As Tony has said before on here, Gold seems suited to be more of a marauding front man, a la Kairo Mitchell, to my mind, with height for flick ons and corners, rather than a target man /Gash replacement. As such then, trying to replicate the previous Gash/Mazza set up, may not be the way forward and with Morias leaving there may be an opportunity to find a better combo, which better suits  Gold and the newbie.

17k for a striker who wasn’t hitting a cows ass with the side of a banjo isn’t bad business by the Chairman.  Hopefully that money will be passed over to IC to spend.    Then going forward let’s hope Dagenham gain promotion.

Absolutely!!...Brilliant deal for the club, I would have thought we'd have struggled to give him away based on how utterly useless he has been! Mind you, if we've sold him for that amount bearing in mind the above, then it does make you worry about how much we bought him for!!

To far away to see Lynn play, only hear on radio. Is Gold the real deal with support or are missing a decent striker or two. At least this season scores haven't been 4 and 5 nil, so the defence is NL standard, but what about the fire power. Morias didnt do much to help things along, so quite glad hes gone, nice bloke im sure. In my opinion we need players like Barrett, who by all accounts, is showing his pedigree as a EFL player,, so hopefully we will get a striker or two who  know how play against these seasoned teams. All is not lost, just need someone who can convert the chances we do get, without it going over the bar, in the side netting or straight at the keeper. Here's hoping. :scarf:

Disappointed Morias has gone.  He had more movement than most, and his lack off goals, plus the same lack in others, wasn’t entirely his fault.  People keep saying we are playing good football, but lacking goals.  That, IMHO, is because none of the midfielders, whatever their qualities, aren’t creative midfielders, apart from King. so don’t create easy chances for the forwards.  Add to this that Omatayo couldn’t hit a cow on the arse holding it by the tail !!  I think Morias will do well at Dagenham, if they have playmakers, which I don’t know.  I believe we’re two “inside forwards” short, if King isn’t coming back, and a chance taker, but I doubt it will come from an “Academy”, as a) We are too small a population, and b) “Developing” players is an overrated art that seldom produces, especially for goal scorers.  Weekly essay over, fingers crossed for today, and I desperately hope Lynn’s finest don’t turn up to “show those Welshies what’s what.” !!!

Interesting comments Dilly. If that is really the case, why do you think the Chairman is so interested in having an Academy?
