Fair point Tony.   However my interpretation of that is.  The money needs to there to put together a competitive side.   It’s proven the Lynn fans will turnout in decent number to watch a successful team.  However a budget team that struggles will leave you with die hard fans.

You pays your money and take your pick. Spend sod all and no one comes.  A decent budget and you could well pull in some decent crowds.

Teams that are successful are those spending the money.

I see the exact opposite as a recipe for success.

Build an income stream by providing a football club that is part of a community,  set a budget based upon realistic financial income and don't spend more than you can earn.

That way, any club will find it's natural level.

Success to me is not always about winning in the short term.

Couldn’t agree more Kevin.

Why some supporters think that someone else’s money should be spent in an attempt to achieve success, I’ll never understand.

Equally, why some people buy Clubs and actually spend ridiculous amounts of money for the same reason, is also something I don’t understand. As we can see, and as has happened  numerous times before when this model is used, any success is usually very short lived, and tends to leave major problems in it’s wake.

I've never understood whats wrong with a Club only spending what it’s got?

Success to me is not about buying it.

Mr Cleeve analyses Crouch report in his EDP column today.  Seems unimpressed  not surprisingly.

I don’t know why. Common sense and progress in protecting the game for future generations.

Seemingly, with the buffer of a couple of holding companies, it appears as if it is The Owner t/a King's Lynn Town FC.         Maybe unlikely that suggestions in the Crouch Report would favour such a business structure.

By the time the Crouch report is implemented ( if ever) I would suggest the name Cleeve will be long gone from Club.

I wonder how the fans will remember him.  The man who gave Kings Lynn Step one Non League Football ?
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it’s all about ?

A man who brought ambition and exciting times to the club but who had  credibility issues within the community and amongst some supporters, which were never fully overcome?

coincidentally, Peter Crouch has just started a telly programme about Non league football, what's involved in the running of a non league club.

He's focussing on Dulwich Hamlet FC.  It's on one of the Discovery channels, but I don't pay for telly so no idea how to watch it
