I do hate being negative but I see another Wrexham coming and I’d say Stockport stronger up front … unless we don’t concede in first 20 may be 3-0  … they’re on a high with new manager n tv appearance and again where will our goals come from

The scores really don't matter, it's the points on the board...I would rather lose 8-0to Stockport and win the next two than lose 1-0 tomorrow and fail to get maxm points against Aldershot and Dover

With the team struggling for numbers ( who will play on the left side ?).  Then tonight could be all about damage limitation.  No chance of us parking the Bus as IC has said he is not prepared to change the way he wants his teams to play.  Which sounds a little blinkered as even the top top Coach’s will adjust accordingly to who they are playing against.   

I mean will Dean Smith at Norwich set up the same way against the likes of Man City as he would against Southampton ?

Shaun Dyce at Burnley has kept them in the Premier League with a robust style of direct football.  Nothing wrong with that as results have proven.  He has found a way of keeping a small club like Burnley at the top level.

With IC stating he's refusing to change his style of play; is he just orchestrating his own dismissal?  A decent manager would have a decent chance of getting Kings Lynn out of this mess by playing a different style (as Mallard has suggested).  It seems to be the team aren't as bad as their league position suggests.  If the Chairman wants to beat relegation a new manager has to come in.  IC seems to be playing Russian roulette.  Stick to same game plan which means relegation.  IC is either inept at his job or he's playing this way on purpose knowing full well it leads to defeat after defeat to pile pressure on the Chairman to sack him.  Either way, its not doing much for the managers reputation.  Unfortunately for us fans we are stuck on the sidelines watching it unfold.  The more defeats, the smaller the crowds, smaller gate receipts, less money available for a striker.  We are in a vicious cycle.  Now that I've written this, Murphy's Law would suggest we win the next 3 on the bounce.

I am with KES on tonight's game, almost a complete irrelevance, hopefully no new injuries or suspensions and anything but a complete hiding is fine so long as we take maximum points from Saturday.  Unfortunately we haven't played well against the teams around us this season and without fresh faces in the forwards / attacking midfielders we will continue to struggle no matter what system IC (or anyone else) adopts.

Yes majority wasn’t expecting anything tonight but we’re folding to easily what looked defensively strong at the start of the season we’re looking vulnerable again , our whole play has changed from the beginning of the season … seems to me we’re clueless and just going into games hoping for the best ….

Still don’t see how the team are to play good creative football, with up to 8 defensive or “ break-up” players doing the job !  Attack-minded players will obviously be better at attacking than stodgers !  We are back to having teams that, on paper, are likely to find it very difficult getting into the opponent’s half, in a concerted move, and that is again how it’s turning out on the pitch.  Teams defend these days with 8or 9 players behind the ball, not with “Clogger Smith” sorting out individual opponents.  So our line-ups condemn us to be defending for perhaps 70 of the 90 minutes !  That’s me for the week, for what it’s worth !!

Dilly, before you pack up for the week, can I ask how many of the current squad you have actually seen play in the flesh?  Whilst I would agree that we aren't playing 'good creative football', for me that is mainly down to players not being quite of the quality required to play that way in the NL rather than the fact that we are relying on physicality (which couldn't be further from the truth).  I think if you took our midfield and defence into the NLN we would be talking about what good footballers they were but how we maybe needed a bit of steel in the team.  Up front, we are a long way off in terms of quality (or fitness in Barrett's case) but again that isn't because we have brought in players who would suit a more physical game.
