Gash is currently 6 goals in 19 games at step 3.   :dontknow:

....and of course Gash brings other forwards and the midfield into the game around the opposition penalty area.

Only 9 less than the entire Lynn team. :glum:
Perhaps a lunatic was simply a minority of one.

Club is in a difficult position, personally I don't like the statement but appreciate they felt the need to respond to comments made here and on social media.  I would rather SC took his time to get the right person in although we may still end up taking a long time to get the 'wrong person', the concerning bits in the statement are
  * 'locked in talks with a number of potential candidates' - surely you are only in 'talks' with one or two?
  * 'the club remain open to further applications' - does this mean we are not really happy with any of the current applicants?

Given the time it took for IC to go/be pushed, it's not unreasonable to have thought some potential targets might have been sounded out but that doesn't seem to have been the case.  Unless someone was already lined up then Dover was always a stretch but I think we really do need someone in place for Nantwich the following weekend

Why do we assume that ex-players would make good managers ?  I’m not too excited by this new man’s CV, but I suppose “moving on” or being moved on, applies to 90% of the profession.  And I disagree with Kes that Gash would bring much benefit.  He didn’t score enough when he was here, and  (being cynical), I’ve never believed the idea that Number 9s “bring other players into the game”.  If they’re not iIN the game already, they shouldn’t be playing, IDHO !  Anyway, good luck to the new man, and happy Xmas to all on the forum.  We all have our hearts in the same place.  Finally, I always used to think the club could make League football in the end, but I no longer believe so, as the ground was never developed, indeed is a lot smaller than days of yore, and we have a very fickle fan base.  The potential is still there on both counts, but unlikely to come to fruition.
