Yes, just the start required.


There are just so many things at the club that need great improvement, but the on field stuff has to come first. There has to be a recognition of the required standard throughout the club, some non playing elements  appear immature, some just poor and inadequate, but hopefully if the squad up their level, then some other things at the club will start to naturally follow.

Pretty awful attendance, even if you factor in , bottom of league side visiting, bringing limited support, cold December day, people Xmas shopping, Omicron concerns and Norwich at home to M U on telly, but again, a couple more wins could turn the tide.

Fingers crossed for things to go well for the new management.

As you say kes a very low attendance and I can’t see it improving much  I think some supporters have become disenchanted with the club. And gone else where to get there football fix. I may be wrong  but people in these strange times like value for money and keeping safe

I made a point of standing close to the dugout today, so I could watch Tommy Widdrington, along with the match - although lets face it, how empty the ground was today, I could have stood anywhere!!

Anyway, it was interesting to see how animated the new manager was - almost kicking every ball, and was encouraged how he put emphasis on getting the ball forward as quickly as possible.
Had to chuckle a couple of times as he asked the subs to give him the names of players so he could shout to them!!

I've no idea where we will end up this season and as I said on another thread am sorry that IC has gone, but once TW has has had a few days / weeks with these guys, I don't think he will suffer any fools and will demand everyone gives 100%  at all times.

As for the match, it's a huge win........and two quality goals from Lynn

I said previously that if IC went the attendance would drop to the regular 600+, but obviously there are factors at the moment of Covid and Christmas.
That aside positive performance, i guess some of the players have had a kick up the behind from the manager and ………… their agents!
For me its all the 2’s
2 days in charge, it may take 2 weeks or 2 months to change things to how TW/SC want it but all we need is……….
2 places and its NL next year and rebuild AGAIN in the summer.

I have to agree with Griss, people support the football club not the manager, it’s like saying Manchester United’s support dropped to around 40000 when Sir Alex left as manager, it didn’t happen.

I believe some will have stayed away because of the uncertainty caused by ICs departure and Lynn , other than the hardcore 600, have a very fickle amount of “floating” supporters. But following Lynns win yesterday and the positivity from TW interview and his experience I believe the numbers will increase. In my opinion this is a great appointment , going forward once stability has been achieved and progress made TW is the sort of guy who can move upstairs for recruitment, etc and bringing in a new coach to work alongside will be a natural progression for the club
