F.A.Trophy
« on: January 12, 2022, 03:47:02 PM »
As a Tonbridge Angels fan for 40 years who moved to Aylsham two years ago I will be looking out for the score on Saturday, hoping for an Angels victory but wishing the Linnets all the best for the rest of the season. Hopefully the game will be played in the best spirit of non league football and both clubs will avoid relegation.

Going to be a hard game for both teams. We have improved but still lack goals and thats our biggest problem. Good luck and may the best team win on the day.

Oh dear indeed Malc.

Now will TW do something with this squad or just allow to continue and just hope ?

Genuine, heartfelt supporters are starting to appreciate who is responsible for the present situation. The person who personally signed a number of the present squad who are not up to the level and a certain overweight player who should have certainly 'shaped up' by now if seriously interested to revitalise his career.

Think it’s way too early to write him off as a Manager.  Not sure what is record is like at this level or higher as a Manager.

Not writing him off, can see him jacking it in before the season ends. Just get the feeling he is here for something to occupy him for while until something better comes along. Time will tell. Been lots of rheteric, that has masked the fallout of the results, which have been no better than IC would have done. No decent signings since appointment, despite saying they would be forthcoming. Signed his son, bravo. Plenty of yap, not a lot of content. Hopefully i'm proved wrong, we' ll see.

Commiserations to Lynn on losing on penalties. A tough way to go out and a long journey home.
I genuinely hope you pull off the great escape, and believe Tommy Widdrington was previously at Eastbourne Borough.

I can't see him jacking it in that quickly. That's unless there's a really massive fall out. I would think every Manager at this level hopes that something better comes along. If that happens its usually because the Managers history is showing something that other Clubs appreciate and want.

Yes, have to question the lack of signings following his statement a couple of weeks ago. Then, it all sounded like a done deal.  :dontknow:

Can’t see him jacking it in.  Can’t be that many jobs out there that will he available to him and his coaches.

Have to agree TW certainly talks a good game. I guess we have had the new Manager bounce with narrow wins over Dover and Nantwich.

Maybe he's been given an autographed copy from the author.
