Solihull 5th March

I guess the big news going into todays game is the extension to Coulson and Hargreaves loan deals for another month.  Coulson has given us a bit more maturity and calmness at the back but as Maidenhead showed last week if you run at him he just isn't up to the pace of NL any more, Hargreaves must have been a more marginal decision and maybe you could make a case with TW jnr and McGavin / Clunan injured we do need bodies in the middle of the park, although I don't think he adds that much to what we already had so keeping him would probably be a financial decision in terms of what sort of percentage of his wages we are having to cover.

For me, today is just crossing another game off as we look to finish the season, in terms of selection decisions will Tommy go with his 4 full back formation again and which of the frozen out centre backs will come in for the injured Phipps?

Our fate is already sealed, however a few wins would be good. Quite a few players need to prove themselves if they want to play next year for us. Thats also true do we want them! Anyway good luck to the Linnets today  :scarf:

I would guess very few will want to play for us next year, as you say relegation is sealed and that has to mean we revert to part-time so only Clunan, Jones (A) and Barrows (maybe McFadden) have played for us a semi-pros.  I think the only one of those who might look to stay full-time would be Barrows as the other two have retained their old jobs whilst playing for us this season (which makes their performances in comparison with their teammates all the better imo).  Hopefully deals can be struck with McFadden and Jones (P) who are both NLN standard and reasonably local but beyond that is there really anyone who you would make a case for being a 'must retain' for next year?
