Torquay 12th March
« on: March 11, 2022, 01:44:56 PM »
Another game closer to the end of the season, TW seemed relaxed at the press conference this morning https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiSwV8J4-sI and talked of players taking their opportunity although whether we see that many changes from the side that played Tuesday evening only time will tell.  Preview on the club site saying Barrows may be fit and so for me he should come straight back into the starting XI and I don't understand why Hickman is being given game time, Jones is a much, much better player imo and more likely to be here next season so doesn't make any sense.

Just listen to TW.  Seems he has an 18 month contract which would take him to the end of next season.   However he also said there was a break clause in the contract.   Seems like the Chairman is learning with regard to handing out contracts.

Exactly Jones is just a few who still has this club at heart , what ever fees we’re paying for Hickman , Hargreaves’s  be best put towards bills or next season’s budget , got zain back and never plays him and some games it’s crying out for a player to get at opposing defenders , we’ve sundire , gyasi , gazza , Knowles just give them the rest of the season and see if they can play for his future plans ..

Joe Taylor on for Peterborough v Stoke . Not good enough for Lynn but good enough for the Championship, strange that.

Well that was a lot better from the Lynn players. A draw would have been a fair result.

I think admin was busy doing the lighting for his Am Dram Panto today so was unable to run/moderate the live feed.

Even though we didn’t get anything today not all bad news.  Team above us, Weymouth lost and the team in the last safety spot, Aldershot didn’t play.  So the gap is still the same.  Just one more game ticked off.

Lynn go to Aldershot next Saturday.  Time for Tommy to start delivering.

What was IC’s points per game record compared to Tommy’s ?  I guess Tommy’s is a lot better as he has had the budget to bring in, what is it 9 new players.

Behind a lighting board in Horning - matinee and evening performances today.
Should be around for the next few weeks but will probably miss the last two matches - lighting Pirates of Penzance in Norwich

Easy one that.  Horning one started on a Thursday and ends tomorrow.  The Walks one has been going on for ages and shows no signs of ending anytime soon

Regarding the match, it was the first one I've actually "enjoyed" for a long while, despite the result.

First half, personally, I was getting the hump a little as it seemed some of the players were just going through the motions - then we scored just before half time.

Not sure what Tommy said to them at half time (or Tommy's coaching team as the coach (Mark Hughes??) was very animated on the touchline, showing great passion)

Anyway, second half, we really deserved something from the match - I'll not start moaning about the officials as it won't change our performances

Absolute worldy of a goal for our second from McGavin

Passion, fight (literally) and desire from most of the players........and not wanting to jump on the lads back, but Gold is so frustrating to watch, he must be astounding in training for him to continuously get picked.

So, while nobody wants to lose, I can accept losing as long as we have a right good go at it - and second half today, we did
